Yellow is the color dujour for me lately. I posted here about using yellow in my home decor with a lemon motif and it has spilled over into my fashion as well. Take a peek at today’s OOTD…
SHOP THE LOOK
I love the style of this tunic – high/low with the diagonal cut, the vibrant color and the lightweight fabric. I was going to pair with my tried and true blue denim but then I saw these white distressed jeans. White fabric bottoms are not a big girls friend and I have avoided them in my fashion choices like the plaque. They can show every lump, bump, and dimple and can make you look bigger. But I so loved the stye of these and decided to take the plunge and rock some white jeans.
3 Tips for Rocking White Distressed Jeans
1. Sturdy fabric is essential. A more flimsy fabric will as I said show bits and pieces you would rather not share with the world
2. Select a pair that has some fabric backing, e.g. lace, plaid, etc. This will give you the ripped distressed look without so much skin
3. A more fitted style jean with a blowy top gives you that long over lean look – slimming, who doesn’t want to look more slim
The accessories are really simple in complementary colors. I was so leery of wearing these but they are a real fashion triumph! I hope to get a ton of wear out of these jeans in Spring and Summer.
