ThredUp – Sell Your Stuff

Hello,
I hope everyone had a pleasant weekend and that the Mommies had a fab day and were treated like the Queens you are! I enjoyed the weekend immensely – comedy club on Saturday featuring John Witherspoon, who was absolutely hilarious! I laughed sooo much, I was hoarse. And the Mommie’s Day fun on Sunday. My Mama is a comedian too, I mean not professional, but she is funny as heck and kept us laughing! I got to her house early to dress her for the festivities. I thought I had a bunch of stuff, Mama does too. So it’s a good thing I’m getting rid of some of my stuff with thredUP.

I posted on the Facebook page about trying out this service. thredUP is an online consignment shop, yeah awesome right? thredUP was attractive to me because they only accept clothing and accessories from certain higher end brands which means really good stuff at fantastic prices. The process to submit items is really easy. First, I requested a clean out bag by clicking Sell on their website. The bag arrived and here’s how I packed up my goodies.

The clean out bag is one of those plastic mailing bags and is pretty big

The enclosed brand card was very helpful. As you can see, thredUP is very selective about the brands they accept

Everything fit, including a shoe box

That’s all there is to the process. They make it super easy to submit your goods for consignment. Now, one down side. So I mailed my bag around mid April, but they didn’t get it until early May and then emailed me that my bag would not be processed until the end of May. It’s a process but I think it will be well worth it in the end and my closet will be better.

One more thing, you can buy good stuff on the site too, here’s ten bucks to get you started!

Have you tried consignment selling or buying?

I signed up over a month ago and haven’t opened the package, not sure if what I have is acceptable, but have started cleaning out my closet just in case!

I signed up in January and have not used the site yet. Guess I should re-visit the site. Thanks Sista.
