Chunky Heels For Spring

March 4, 2016 by robincharmagne 10 Comments

Happy Friday,
Chunky Heels are our friends. Spring is just a few days away and we will be rocking freshly manicured feet in strappy heels. Don’t get me wrong, I love a sexy stiletto but my feet, not so much. Stilettos are sexy and elongate the leg, but the effects of wearing a high heel can be brutal. The angle of a high heel can create bunions and hammertoes and puts extra stress on the back and knees, ouch! Chunky heels to the rescue. This Spring you can still rock a sexy sandal that loves your feet. Take a peek…

You can have comfort and style in a chunky heel!

Cute and comfy works every time. You can still get that height and sexy look with embellishments like straps, buckles and strings. Yes, string-up styles will still be popular for the next season. A chunky heel pairs perfectly with a denim dress, shorts, or culottes. A good choice for a day party, a night at a rooftop bar, if you’re in The A, checkout my fave, a casual lunch or a dressy dinner. We have to be kind to our feet and this heel is a fabulous option with loads of style.

Are you rocking chunky heels this spring?

The Slip-On

slip-ons

Hello,
It was a great weekend pretties, hope you all enjoyed it as well. I know I talk about weather here a lot, but the weather in The A is a story on its own. Over the weekend, I saw folks in boots and folks in shorts soooo, go figure. But you know what works in any kind of weather? Yep slip-ons.

I’m seeing these kute kicks everywhere, the sneaker that’s a shoe. Why do I love slip-ons? Three words cute, comfy, and casual. Today’s slip-on is way beyond the basic canvas fabric, with styles in leather, metallics and all kinds of prints – the choices are endless. The price point is very affordable with lots of options under $50 bucks. Slip-ons are the perfect complement to shorts, boyfriends, or a cute maxi. And let’s not forget they are unisex! Yep get a pair for you and your boo!

Are you rocking slip-ons? I would love them in a metallic!

Hey there! Have you noticed today’s date? January is winding down and February is right around the corner. OK 2014, slow down. Any who, today’s post is about Spring Shoe Trends. Last year I posted about the wedge heel, my favorite shoe silhouette. Of course I love the added height you get with a wedge. The Mule has the same effect for those of us who are vertically challenged. The mules with the chunky heelsare my favorite and the most comfortable. The mule is great for day and night looks and comes in a variety of fabrics and heel heights. Which would you rock this Spring, the mule or the wedge?

Hey, did y’all come back on Saturday? No worries lovelies, me and some awesome blogger friends are hosting a Valentine’s Day Giveaway click here for a chance to win $350!

Shoes 101

August 29, 2013 by robincharmagne 2 Comments

Hi Pretties,
Hey Thursday! I had to be reminded that Monday is Labor Day, totally slipped my mind. OKAY! So, last week I posted Handbags 101 and the cool bag on my wish list. Here’s another great infographic from Pinterest, which I think has been around the web for a while but it really does cover shoes from A to Z, take a peek.

My favorite shoe style is the wedge . It’s the perfect shoe for lovelies like me who are vertically challenged, giving us some height and great style. I have my eye on this beauty from Coach.

The heel on this shoe is the truth! The beautiful dark faux horn combined with a smooth suede, really make this wedge heel a standout. It can easily be worn for day or night. Now, it’s pricey at $248 but unique fabric and details make it well worth the money!

What shoe style works best for you?

InStyle and Nine West Collabo

August 26, 2013 by robincharmagne 10 Comments

Happy Monday pretties,
Hope you guys enjoyed the weekend! The last week of August, didn’t we just start August? Can you believe 4 more months still Christmas? Speaking of Christmas, how about some fall footwear that you can certainly gift! Guess who collabo’d? InStyle and Nine West present a collection of 10 trendy styles for fall, in a variety of colors and fabrics.

Booties
Destino-$129//Comete-$139// Tesoro-$159// Onesta-$149

Pumps
Gamin-$79

Flats
Stylet-$89//Soire-$79

Now I have to say pretties, I’m not all that excited about this collection. The price points are from $79 to $159 which is a bit pricey. Love the booties because there are wedges and heels in interesting fabrics and colors. Hate the pumps and flats. While the pumps do come in different colors and fabrics, including a metallic, I don’t think the style is especially fashion forward. And the flats? Well they are just ugly! Sorry!

What do you all think of the InStyle and Nine West collaboration?

Bargain Bubble Necklaces – Charming Charlie

December 7, 2012 by robincharmagne Leave a Comment

Hello pretties,
I love fashion jewelry and I’m loving Charming Charlie. Their stores are beautifully color coordinated around all types of accessories, apparel, gifts, and shoes.

What I think Charming Charlie does best is necklaces. And, to help us wear them well, Charming Charlie created a cheatsheet for the most trendy necklace styles.

My latest purchase from Charming Charlie, the ever popular Bubble Necklace. JCrew made this necklace famous but at a rather high price point of $150. Definitely too rich for my blood!

I snagged a similar version from Charming Charlie for under $20 bucks.

Charming Charlie – $19.99

It’s one of my favs and comes in many colors. How are you styling your favorite necklace?
