More or Less…Fireplace Candelabras

More or Less

Hi,
I have a fireplace in my home, but I don’t use it so I really like the idea of a fireplace candelabra to add light and an accent. This week’s More or Less has me truly puzzled. I can’t even imagine why you would pay $500 bucks for virtually the same thing. But it’s a good example of why shopping around is essential. A very good app for price comparisons is PriceGrabber.

Price Grabber, shopping apps

PriceGrabber App

PriceGrabber, available for iPhone and Android, has thousands of prices for products and services (Clothing, Babies & Kids, Electronics, Computers, TV’s, Furniture, Fashion, Cameras and more) to help you find the right product at a good price. The retail options include the big box stores like Best Buy, Office Depot and Walmart, as well as local retailers. And, the app calculates taxes and shipping information, along with detailed product reviews. Another good feature is the email notifications with the best prices and product availability for that special something you’re looking to buy.

I’m sold on the less version! Have you used a price comparison app or website?

How To Shop Black Friday Sales

Black_ Friday_ 11292013
Hello Pretties,
The weekend was great, too much fun! If you haven’t seen The Best Man Holiday, go see it! I love feel good Christmas movies and this one did not disappoint! Attention robincharmagne shoppers, 12 days until Black Friday Sales so today I’m sharing my tips for a fun day of shopping!

1 – Of course fashion is first, last Black Friday I posted outfits for being cute and comfortable. You’ll be up early and out all day so consider comfortable shoes.
2 – Grab your BSB, best shopping bud! You can cover more ground with two people but choose wisely, you need an eagle eye to spy BOGO(buy one, get one) signs, early bird deals, and to hold your place in line if you jump out of line to snag an awesome deal or to use the lady’s room!
3 – Be safe. Park as close as possible to the door. You’ll get your exercise going store to store! Don’t flash your credit cards or cash, be discrete as you transact business.
4 – Checkout the layout of the mall or outlet before hand to map out your shopping route.
5 – OK, set a budget! Yeah, you need a budget to avoid overspending and heartache in January. And, yes, the budget applies to the credit cards too! Set an overall dollar amount to spend or a per person dollar amount. You’ll need cash or credit for the AFTER Christmas sales.
6 – Research, research, research. There are a ton of Black Friday sites, but my fave is GottaDeal.com/Black Friday. Their comparison tool rocks! You can also try comparison apps like PriceGrabber. Sometimes a deal isn’t a deal, especially at outlets. Check out the current price of items now so you can recognize a real deal.
7 – Email subscribe to your favorite retailers to receive notices for discounts and sign up for Twitter and Facebook as retailers post special offers for their loyal followers. Check your local paper too, there are bound to be some coupons, but read the fine print, most have some exclusions.
8 – Fully charge your phone or tablet or bring your portable charger. You can send pics to your BSB when you need a second opinion on a deal or a gift.
9 – Bring your favorite beverage and some snacks. The lines will be long, keep your energy up! Pick a new spot for Black Friday lunch, you deserve a great meal after all that shopping!
10 – Hit the sack early so you’ll be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for Black Friday shopping!

What are your tips for a fun day shopping Black Friday?
