Hello,
One of my favorite things to do is “pin”! I know y’all have heard about Pinterest, the electronic scrapbook. Pinterest allows you to pin things you find online; for example, a cute hairstyle, a recipe for chili, or 10 ways to potty training. You can categorize your pins on boards for easy access. It is my favorite social media tool and I spend a lot of time pinning pretty things on one of my 73 boards! One of the first pins I pinned on my Closets Board was this one…

Hello,
After the snow and ice from the past two weeks, I went gaga over these bags. It’s Burberry in bloom screaming springtime. These bags are adorned with flowers beautifully hand-painted on leather. Yesss! I paired each bag with a pretty piece of art because fashion and art go hand in hand. Here’s the frosting on the cupcake – Burberry will personalize this bag not only with your initials but a Burberry nameplate with your name.
nameplate
Awesome sauce!!! Now luxury like this ain’t cheap at a $3000+ price point and a couple of bags at, wait for it… $37,000+. Yeah that’s a boatload of cash. If I win the Powerball tonight, I’ll definitely own a hand-painted Burberry bag in bloom with my own initials and nameplate!

What do you think about this collection?

Thanksgiving Mini Series

November 12, 2013 by robincharmagne 2 Comments

Hi Pretties,
Is your week going great? Mine is chugging right along. We’re about to have a very cold snap here in The A. I like it though, really puts me in the mood for the holiday season. Today is the start of a Thanksgiving Mini-Series. For the next three posts, I’ll feature some fun ideas for Thanksgiving Dinner. Me? No I will not be in the kitchen. But, I’m sure you Dinner Divas Extraordinaire are already planning your scrumptious Thanksgiving Dinner Menus. Wow your guests with some creative and unique ways to say what’s on the menu. A fantastic source of inspiration is Pinterest which I talked about here. Here are some of my faves – Pins via Pinterest!

Chalkboard Art is all the rage right now and I’d have to say that’s my first choice. Lovely blogger Gwen Moss at Gwen Moss home and life inspiration has an awesome post on Chalkboard Art including a link to a tutorial. I’m itching to try this project.

Which menu is your favorite? Have you tried Chalkboard Art?

Pinterest Meets QVC…Kind Of

September 30, 2013 by robincharmagne Leave a Comment

Hello pretties,

to gather logo

I’m so happy Fall is finally here, perfect shopping season! Speaking of shopping, y’all know how much I love Pinterest. If you’re anything like me I’m sure you spend hours pinning beautiful things, but how do you buy those things? Well QVC has launched a new site called toGather that I would describe as a marriage between Pinterest and QVC.

to gather interface

The interface looks similar to Pinterest with a profile and different collections, similar to boards on Pinterest. There are a variety of categories, such as beauty, electronics, fashion, home, travel, etc.

to gather interface1a

As with Pinterest, you can create collections, follow others, and you can ♥ the items you like, which adds them to your favorites.
to gather robin fava1

But the best part is once you add an item, then you can click the buy button on the item you’d like to purchase.
to gather buy1

This is a pretty cool interface if, like me, you shop QVC. It is a great way to keep track of the items you like for future purchase. No hunting around the Internet for the source of a favorite “like” or pin.

What do you think about this Pinterest-like tool on QVC? Would you use it?

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I’m eying this beauty!

celine

This is the Celine trapeze bag; the simple lines of its shape and the high quality calfskin make this a great choice for an everyday or special occasion bag. It is available in a variety of fabrics and colors! Need more handbag inspiration, check out some pretty styles on my Pocabooks Pinterest board.

The Mother of all Closets

August 13, 2013 by robincharmagne 10 Comments

Hello pretty ones,
It’s back to rainy days in Georgia. I prefer the rain to 90+ degree days so I can deal with a few sprinkles. Y’all already know I’m still obsessed with Pinterest. I have 60+ boards and one of my favorite is Closets. Who doesn’t love a beautiful closet? A few of my faves from my Pinterest board:

Love the black decor and printed ottoman

But Miss JHud, Jennifer Hudson, soulful songstress, has the Mother of all closets. Take a peek from the Ellen DeGeneres Show(video may take a moment to load)!

That closet is serious, the table with the big beads or pearls or whatever she’s calling them is amazing. I would of course paint them pink and call them pearls. I love the boutique feel and would love to do something similar in my next house. A good well organized closed is a must. Check out Kenye from Glow Kouture Style’s, closet tour with completely doable organization tips.

Do you have the closet of your dreams or is it a work in progress?

Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep

June 25, 2013 by robincharmagne 6 Comments

Hi pretties,
Here’s to a great Tuesday. Today I’m fessin’ up! I’m obsessed with HGTV. AND, I know I’m not the only one! I have been seriously hooked on HGTV since the old days. Do y’all remember Room by Room with Matt and Sheri, Decorating Cents with Joan Steffend or At the Auction with Leslie Hindman(I thought she was so classy). Yep, I have been watching for a while. But, my all-time favorite host is Candice Olson. She rocks with her classically elegant designs. I have an entire Pinterest board dedicated to her designs. My bedroom is in need of a refresh and I’m inspired by Candice’s neutral color palettes and clean style. Here are some of my faves!

I definitely would like to have a different kind of nightstand, like the shelving she uses but the walls in my boudoir are weirdly shaped. Do any of these rooms strike your fancy?

Snack Attack

April 9, 2013 by robincharmagne Leave a Comment

Hello pretties,
It’s April and how many of you have kept that New Year’s resolution to be healthier? Ha! Yes, I’m still trying to be healthier too. I love to snack, especially cookies, of any kind. But sweet on the lips, pounds on the hips, so I have to cut back on the cookies. A good alternative is hot air popcorn. My sweet Mama gifted me a hot air popper for Christmas and I’m getting good use of it!

Affordable Art on Living Social

March 25, 2013 by robincharmagne 2 Comments

Hello pretties,
It’s Monday! Can you believe March is almost over? On Saturday I posted about the blogathon, where bloggers had 24 hours to complete tasks to spark creativity on our blogs. Awesome way to learn and improve! Always a student, good stuff!

With the rainy weather in “The A” this weekend, I stayed in and started another decorating project. I have long admired subway art which you can see on my Pinterest board here. I was doing the happy dance when Living Social had a great special from ImageKind where a $299 city canvas was $99, that’s a steal. I love “The A” and thought this subway art would be a great addition to a space in my living room.

You can customize these with anything, famous street names, popular attractions, or your favorite neighborhoods. The space needs some more work but for now I’m very happy with my homage to my hometown.

What do you think about subway art?

Mirrored Table Done!

February 11, 2013 by robincharmagne 8 Comments

Hello Pretties,

What a beautiful weekend in the “A”! I hope everyone enjoyed those two days off is ready for a week filled with possibility!

I was busy finishing my mirrored console table I posted about here. Well, I added a few more elements and the inspiration for the last element is from Pinterest which I posted about here.

Adding personalized pieces gives a room that unique touch. So here’s my semi DIY project:

I ordered the monogram from a favorite Etsy shop Decal Monograms. I’m never really finished and I still have some ideas for this vignette but for now I like how this turned out.

What do you think about adding monograms as part of your home decor?
