Hello,
Last year, I posted about Pantone here and ways to pair it with other spring colors for your fashion and home decor. This year’s Pantone Color of the Year is Radiant Orchard, a beautiful shade in the purple family. Pantone Color Institute Executive Director Leatrice Eiseman speaks very eloquently and passionately about Radiant Orchard. It amazes me how much thought and creativity goes into selecting a color! Take a peek…

This color is very versatile with so many variations from soft pastel purple to a deep orchid. Perfect for any skin tone. My interpretation leans toward the lighter end of the spectrum, the pastel side. Scanning the closet, not too much purpley (yep made up word) if any, things in my wardrobe. Two color options to experiment with, pairing it with red for the Winter and pink for the Spring. And, it’s not limited to fashion, sprinkle this color in your home decor and beauty too!! I am enamored with Radiant Orchid! It’s one of those colors that can be very feminine but super strong too in deeper tones, endless options. If you just want to dip your toe in Radiant Orchid, try it in an accessory, like shoes or earrings.

How would you wear this color?

Hey Pretties,
I should have titled this post blurred lines, it’s a bit blurry, bear with me. Like many ladies, I lean toward black a lot in my wardrobe. But this blue sweater called out to me. Love the v-neck and high/low hem, perfect for layering. Adding color can be scary but in small doses adds some spice to an outfit. The blue in this sweater is Mykonos Blue a Pantone Fall Color. Pantone is the organization that selects the color of the year for not only fashion, but across all industries.

Pantone describes this color as “…a bold, meditative blue, for a classic and relaxed fall look.” Describes this layered black and blue fall look perfectly.

JcPenney – Home Sweet Home

July 2, 2013 by robincharmagne 8 Comments

Hi Pretties,
It’s a short week so I hope everyone is making the most of these 3 work days! Last week, I blogged about sprucing up my bedroom, first stop, my local JcPenney store for a bit of inspiration. I was pleasantly surprised to see the home department revamped with some very cool brands, like Bodum, Jonathan Adler, Michael Graves, Martha Stewart, Pantone, and Ordning & Reda (pic heavy post).

These collections are colorful, vibrant, and modern, but a bit quirky too! The price points vary from about $5 bucks up to over $1000 bucks. Something for every budget! And there’s a great sale going on with an extra 10% off online purchases.

Oh, back to the bedding, the Happy Chic by Jonathan Adler collection was a perfect combination of modern and classic – my faves, here, here and here.

I’m really loving the green set! Will you checkout the new JcPenney Home?
