Hello Pretties,
Well you know I can’t talk about anything today except season three of Scandal. Yesss! Olivia Pope and the gladiators are back for more juiciness! But of course we have to talk about the fashion and I’ll keep you posted on the fab fashion for this season. The show’s amazingly talented costume designer is Lyn Paolo who is keeping the neutral palette and elegant, classic style for Olivia and using one of my favorite accessories the opera glove. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Ms. Paolo said, “We started playing with opera-length gloves and I’m still a little obsessed with gloves. It’s a sad obsession. Kerry teases me about it. I like clean elegance.”

I love that opera gloves are good for day or night depending up the fabric. Your wools and leathers for day and your satins and cottons for night. Perfect complement to casual and formal looks.

I’m so excited to see what designer duds Olivia dons this season from the jewelry and handbags, and oh those coats and this season, the cape coat, oh yeah!

Are you trying a new accessory for the Fall season?

You Can’t Fake Fashion!

March 19, 2013 by robincharmagne

Hello pretty ones!
One of my favorite sites to shop is ebay and I am loving this collaboration with CFDA, Council of Fashion Designers of America “You Can’t Fake Fashion” featuring 90 one-of-a kind tote bags. This shopping event is to raise awareness about counterfeit goods and to showcase original designs from top designers.

See all Tote bags here

I do like a designer bag and this is a chance to own one from some of my favs, Lilly Pulitzer, Diane von Furstenberg, Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch, and Kate Spade to name just a few. A tote is a must have fashion accessory. Perfect for carrying lunch, gym clothes, books/magazines, your nook or iPad, water bottle, heck any and everything can go in your tote, and makes the perfect carry-on when traveling. The auction closes on March 25th so you still have time to put your bid in for a unique tote bag! And, you can get this fashionable tote for just $50.

My First OOTD – Emerald and Black

March 6, 2013 by robincharmagne 24 Comments

Hello Pretties,
OK, today is my first OOTD (Outfit of the Day) post. In these posts, bloggers “model” current fashion trends anything from skinny jeans, florals, graphic sweaters, to camouflage, gladiator sandals, you name the trend and you will find a blogger wearing it in an OOTD. After 5 months of blogging, I figured it was time for me to jump in! So today, I’m on the catwalk in Emerald Green and Black! I betta werk!

Tunic – c/o of Gwynniebee
Pants(old) – Lane Bryant
Boots(old) – HSN
Purse(old) – Kate Spade
Jewelry – Charming Charlie

Whew, that wasn’t so bad! Stepped out of my comfort zone into the spotlight. I’m much more comfortable researching the latest trends or sharing a DIY project. Growth occurs when we stretch ourselves just a little bit outside of what’s easy or what comes natural to us. But I have to admit, it was a ton of fun! I may just do it again!

How are you stepping out of your comfort zone? Did I werk it?

What’s in my Bag

February 1, 2013 by robincharmagne 6 Comments

Happy Friday Pretties,
It’s Go Red for Women Day in support of Heart Health! Pretties, it’s important to watch your weight and manage your stress. Visit the American Heart Association website for great information!
go red

On to today’s post. I love the What’s in my Bag features because well, I’m nosey! So today I’m sharing my bag and it’s contents and like my shoes most of my bags are black. My everyday bag is the lovely Kristen. It’s by Coach whose bags I love, the quality is excellent and styling always on trend. This is a pretty big bag for me but I like that it holds all my stuff and it’s a shoulder strap so I can carry on my arm or as a crossbody.

I can cram a lot into this bag but I like having all my stuff with me!

My stuff

Clockwise from the top:
1)Wallet Barney’s New York -I love the quilting and this wallet was a steal from Sawgrass Mills in Miami
2)Eyeglasses – I used to be really vain about these dang glasses, but when you have to hold the menu 10 feet away, you start carrying your glasses
3)Pink and Green glitter pen – perfect writing instrument…LOL
4)Tampon – yeah one lone tampon, just in case…
5)Jergens lotion – Tried and true with a fresh scent
6)Carmex – Tried and true and helps with my extra chapped lips
7)Keys – This Tiffany and Co. key ring was a gift from someone who is no longer in my life, very tempted to toss it in the trash but I do like it
8)Makeup bag Kate Spade – Another steal from my mini vaca in Miami last year from Sawgrass Mills
9)Phone Samsung Galaxy III – I love this phone and guess what? It was a refurb for $29 bucks – woowee, love a bargain
10)Pink and Green mints – tasty and beautifully packaged…LOL
11)Business Card case – cute Christmas gift from Mom and my new robincharmagne cards
12)Checkbook – Yeah I still carry and write checks – love this cover from my alma mater Emory University

You wanna know a secret, you think my bag is neat like that heck no, here’s my bag on any given day…
