Hi pretties,
Be Easy is the theme of today’s OOTD. There are times when you just want something to throw on and go, but still loo pulled together. Well it’s all in the details. Fringe is a favorite fashion detail and I am loving it on these suede booties. The weather in The A is being wonky right now but it is cool enough to rock some booties…take a peek.

This outfit is a no-brainer. The booties are very comfy at just the right heel height, paired with a black tee, jeggings and long cardigan. Purple Reign – OOTD #81

Hello pretties,
Purple Reign is of course a play on words for Purple Rain. I am still sad about the passing of Prince Rogers Nelson. I am not celebrity crazy by any means, but two deaths had me in tears – Whitney Houston and Prince. The music of both artists was a big part of my growing up, of my becoming a grown woman. It sounds cliche but yeah both artists have songs that are the songtracks of my life, that take me back to specific places and times. When Prince passed, my college roommate and sorority sister posted on Facebook how we would watch Purple Rain a ca-gillion times in our student center. Gosh so many memories came rushing back. The color purple has always been special to me, it is the color of royalty and Prince is definitely music royalty. I have said the talent and genius of Prince will never be matched, that I know for sure. So in honor of Prince, I am rocking purple in today’s OOTD, take a peek…

This OOTD was so easy and as always beyond comfortable. The off the shoulder look is one of the top trends this season. I like how this top has the spaghetti traps, finishes the look a bit. This one is from Gwynnie Bee but here is a cute option and another cute option.

I paired this super cute top with jeggings, my first time wearing them. They look like denim but pull on like a legging. We had snow flurries on yesterday, nothing major, thank goodness. Hoping for good weather as we get ready for Love Weekend. We talked about wearing black on Valentine’s Day and today I’m sharing one of my choices. Neoprene has become a popular fabric for dresses and skirts and I have wanted to try it without spending a whole bunch of coins for what could be an unwearable or uncomfortable item. Hello my pretties!

We’re right smack dab in the middle of the week, spirits start to rise on Wednesday with only two more days until the weekend. Well, one if your weekend starts on Friday. I’m on the catwalk today, but these baby making hips had me thinking twice about strutting my stuff.

The Details:

Lesson learned for me this week, every photo is not going to be perfect, and really that’s okay. Sometimes you have to just put yourself out there, flaws and all.

My First OOTD – Emerald and Black

Hello Pretties,
OK, today is my first OOTD (Outfit of the Day) post. In these posts, bloggers “model” current fashion trends anything from skinny jeans, florals, graphic sweaters, to camouflage, gladiator sandals, you name the trend and you will find a blogger wearing it in an OOTD. After 5 months of blogging, I figured it was time for me to jump in! So today, I’m on the catwalk in Emerald Green and Black! I betta werk!

Whew, that wasn’t so bad! Stepped out of my comfort zone into the spotlight. I’m much more comfortable researching the latest trends or sharing a DIY project. Growth occurs when we stretch ourselves just a little bit outside of what’s easy or what comes natural to us. But I have to admit, it was a ton of fun! I may just do it again!
