Hello Pretty Ones,
Did you have a good weekend? I sure hope so! I had a blast hanging out in the Blue Ridge Mountains with a bunch of girlfriends. The “cabin trip” as we fondly call it is our almost annual event where we pack up and head for the mountains with no agenda except, talk, laugh, eat, sleep, repeat. These ladies are very dear friends that I’ve known for 10+ years and we take time out to catch-up and relax. The mountains provide a great back drop for chillaxin, one of my favorite pastimes.
The fall foliage was really beautiful and the setting serene and peaceful. I had some fun firsts on this trip – roasting marshmallows and playing Scattergories. Two thumbs up for both. But the biggest first was not using my cellphone for a whole weekend! Yep, unplugged with no cellphone service so – no calls, texts, or posts to Facebook or Instagram. Unplugged! I admit for the first few hours, I really missed my cellphone but not having it allowed me to focus more on fellowship than on status updates and photo opps. It would be a good exercise to unplug on a regular basis and use that time to nurture and strengthen all of my relationships. Seriously thinking about unplugging at least once a quarter! I’m recharged and refreshed ready for the start of the holiday season and another work week. Blessed and Thankful!
Have you ever just unplugged from all technology? Or would even do it?
