Happy Good Friday!
Lemons, lemons, and more lemons. I have a confession…I can go overboard or should I say enthusiastically love pretty things. There I said it! Once I find things I like, it is on and popping. For Springtime, I am stuck on lemons and will be adding this bright and sunny motif to my living spaces. It is so fresh and clean, this yellow is just the right amount of sunshine to make a room pop. Take a peek at the pretty things I curated for today’s Faves on Friday…

Perfect addition to my ivy green and chocolate brown color scheme. You can highlight your unique personality by adding accessories, which are the icing of a room. I love a theme based room, not too kitschy but just enough to add interest and whimsy. Yeah I like whimsy and the unexpected. An easy, subtle way to use a theme is in art work. Place a themed picture with some other grouping of art or make it the star of the room. Another good way is through some form of greenery that incorporates the theme. Sadly, I do not have a green thumb or other green body part so a good artificial flower or silk plant works for me. I’m off today pretties, so I can’t wait to hit some of my favorite home decor stores, HomeGoods and Tuesday Morning, for my Springtime decorating.

Yes it is the weekend, but I had like a busy – slow week. You know those kinds of weeks where you feel like you have a whole lot of stuff to do and Friday rolls around and you realize you ain’t do nothing this whole week? Nate Berkus – Faves On Friday

Hi Pretties,
Happy Friday! This has been a nice week y’all not too hectic, but enough stuff to definitely keep me busy. Hope your week wasn’t too taxing either. Earlier in the week I posted about affordable home decor and it seems y’all like Target as much as I do. Today’s faves are all about Nate Berkus. Nate has been collaborating with Target for home and office for a minute with gold being a signature color in his collections. All of these home decor items are under $50.

Metallic finishes are just awesome and gold makes everything look more rich and more expensive. Nate’s collection is full of different finishes such as acrylic, chalkboard and other metals like aluminum. Buying home goods from a designer collection presents a more cohesive look in your decor. With holiday entertaining right around the corner, I could really use the bar-ware and the cheese utensils.

Boss’s Day – Faves On Friday

Happy Friday,
October came in quietly and it is hard to believe we are half way through the month already. Besides Columbus Day and Halloween, the other notable day in October is Boss’s Day which is today. I haven’t formally observed this day in many years, but I do let my Boss, who is awesome by the way, know how much I appreciate her leadership and support. Being responsible for a team is a huge responsibility and I respect those who accept the charge and do it well. So, today’s Faves On Friday are all about being a Boss no matter where you are in your career!

1 – Oprah Winfrey is THE BOSS and an inspiration to so many. Of course she is crazy busy but here’s how Oprah copes with stress
2 – There has been so much talk on the news about how sitting is so bad for your health, a stand-up desk is the way to go be a productive and healthy boss

October Fun – Faves On Friday

Hello,
Y’all, September got the heck outta here, for real! I don’t think any month this year went by as fast as September. So, hey October! The holiday season is in full effect – bring on the pumpkins, hot chocolate, and yes cooler weather fashion! Today’s Faves On Friday are all about ways to enjoy the month of October.

1 – Perfect time to get out and take a hike, but you absolutely need some cute boots and they might as well be pink and waterproof
2 – Gas prices are at an all time low in the Southeast, take a road trip to a nearby town and discover something fun and fabulous. Use the AAA Trip Tik Travel Planner to map the best route
3 – Not sure where to go on your road trip, how about a state fair. Oh the turkey legs, funnel cakes, fried anything, ferris wheels and fairway games, good times
4 – This is most definitely snuggle weather so if staying inside is your thing, you are going to need some comfort food. Pull out that pink crock pot and try these Five Ingredient Crock Pot Recipes, yummy
5 – Wrap you and your sweetie up in a cozy pink blanket for some warm and cozy television watching

Goodies – Faves On Friday

Hi pretties,
Woo-hoo, the weekend is here! We are more than half way through September already. Now I really don’t know where September went, but uh it is winding down. Today’s Faves on Friday are a bunch of goodies from here and there and everywhere.

1 – Facebook’s announcement of the dislike button really piqued my interest. This article gives a good perspective on this upcoming change.

2 – If you follow my Instagram, then you know I’m one of those crazy folks that takes lots of food pics. Now Google wants you to know how much calories are in those fab food pictures. Do you really need or even want to know??

3 – I posted here about this book on tidying and this is my first purchase towards truly getting my clothes organized. This book is quite eye-opening and I’m learning new ways to make the most of my space.

4 – Yes I know it is beyond early, but really is it ever too early for buying Christmas decorations. I think not! This is perfect for a blank wall in my living room. I mean if you wait, all the good stuff will be picked over! I’m just saying.

The Perfect Guy – Faves On Friday

Hello pretties,
Friday, you could not get here soon enough. I have/had plans for the weekend, but y’all know my plans often change. But I’m happy for two days to rest and recharge or not! There is a big movie opening tonight The Perfect Guy – staring Sanaa Lathan, Morris Chestnut, and Michael Ealy. The trailer for this movie was all over social media and I was little disappointed because it revealed the whole dang movie. I know there is a twist and I’m wondering what it might be because that trailer doesn’t leave a lot to the imagination. The movie inspired today’s Faves on Friday – what to wear on a date! I curated two looks one dressy and one more casual.

Exercise Is Fun – Faves On Friday

Hello pretties,
Gosh this week, happy to be at Friday and ready for a 3-day weekend. I have been just a bit under the weather, but as the week progressed, I began to feel a whole lot better. Excited for this new month which celebrates a bunch of stuff, one being self-improvement. So this is a good month to recharge and reset your goals related to personal growth and development. If exercise is one of your goals, I hand-picked 6 goodies to help you stay motivated.

Jump Rope – Want to have some fun while burning a ton of calories? Pull out that jump rope. Great cardio workout.
Roller Skates – Grab the whole family and hit your neighborhood skating rink. Another great cardio option and is easy on the joints.

Business Babes – Faves On Friday

Happy Friday,
This week finished on a busy note, which is fine by me. I would rather be busy getting things done that move me toward my goals. Pretties, I have seriously been grinding for the past few weeks, being intentional about my business goals and objectives – defining my end game. I’m always looking for business motivation whether that is people, books, quotes, or a good movie. Today’s Faves on Friday is some business goodies to help you get to your end game.

1 – Sometimes we think people who have money or who are doing well are different from us, well yes they are. They think differently. You wanna be rich, successful, and happy then you have to change your mind. Best business advice I have read this year!

2 – Grammar Police? Um yeah. Sorry, not sorry. Some words and phrases get ingrained in our head and we use them everyday – incorrectly. I know that you know at least one person who needs this list stat! My vocabulary is expanded for sure.

Rainbow – Faves On Friday

Hello Pretties,
Hey y’all Friday finally made it! I know what you’re thinking, what’s this crazy pic robincharmagne posted? I saw a rainbow this week. I have not seen a rainbow in like forever. No filters no editing, raw and natural.This divine collision of water and light fanned out across the sky, creating this beauty. It just really got me excited. On the home front, this has been a rough week for my family with some good news and some not so good news. So when I saw that rainbow, all I could say was thank you God for reminding me of your presence despite the storm. Rainbows are supposed to mean good luck and legend has it, there’s a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. But have ya’ ever seen the end of a rainbow??
