Pillow Talk – Fall Home Decor

September 13, 2016 by robincharmagne 4 Comments

Hello,
Pillows, the easy, inexpensive way to update your decor. The first day of Fall is just a few days away so now is a good time to transition your decor to warmer, fall tones and pillows are great transition pieces. I handpicked some pretty choices in brown, orange and even a black choice.

Pillows add color to your space, but they also add texture with fabric or design. If you are worried about the space being too “themey” just add one pillow in fall tones. Then, from that pillow, pull a few colors for solid color accent pillows. And, don’t relegate them to the sofa or couch, you can add to chairs as well, or stack a bunch on the fireplace for additional seating. These options range from $20 to $100, something for every budget.

Will you transition your home decor for Fall or wait until Christmas to doll it up?

Fall Finale

October 29, 2013 by robincharmagne Leave a Comment

Hello Pretty Ones,
Have y’all noticed the department stores have Christmas decoration out already? I’m trying hard not to buy anything, especially since I haven’t seen any sales or good deals but it’s getting harder…LOL. Especially the unique Santa figures I’ve seen lately in rich velvet and fur, I really want to buy one. It’s nice to have a new Santa for the collection each season. Sooo I’m focusing on finishing fall decor so I can start working on Christmas!

I love updating for holidays, it really makes the house feel very warm and inviting and signals the start of the holiday season. Happy to have the fall decorating done! The mantle is still naked because I couldn’t figure out how to decorate around the dang television, really thinking about maybe it’s time for a re-do on the living room layout. I hope you are sprinkling some fall love around your home, next up Christmas decorating, woohoo!

I know some folks go all out for holidays like July 4th and Halloween. What’s your favorite decorating holiday?

Fancy Fall Tabletops

October 22, 2013 by robincharmagne 2 Comments

Hey Pretties,
It’s Tabletop Tuesday, yeah I made that up. Last Tuesday we talked about decking out your mantel for the fall season so today I’m posting some ideas for your fall dining table. Of course Houzz is the source for decorating ideas in a variety of settings.

I’m partial to a table decorated to the max which means a complete table setting with all the trimmings – dinnerware, glassware, utensils and linens. Having a defined color palette makes it easy to coordinate all the components of the table settings. Some fall color suggestions – green, orange, brown, gold, and yellow. But you could step outside of the traditional fall palette and be a bit more adventurous like vignette number 6 in black, white and paprika. Also, white dinnerware works well for any color palette and you can re-use it for other holiday decorating.

I like the modern feel and dark colors of number 1 and the bold pop of color in number 6. Do you have a favorite vignette?
