Hi,
The Summer travel season has ended, but Fall is also a great time to getaway to a fun spot. You can find lots of festivals and state fairs going on all over the U.S. right now. For these trips, wouldn’t it be cool to have some fun luggage. Novelty luggage is the perfect way to show your style and personality. Hardside luggage lends itself to different types of “skins” that can depict virtually anything! These fun luggage pieces are all from ebags and on sale!

Let’s Go…Packing Cubes

packing cubes

Hello there,
Well, 1 more day before vacay, the excitement is building! I enjoy reading other blogs and I noticed the travel bloggers were raving about packing cubes as an easy way to keep your clothes well organized in the suitcase and once you land. Let’s face it, packing can be a drag, so anything to help the process a long is fine by me. So, I decided to give packing cubes a whirl for this trip. Here’s how they work:

Sort your clothes by category

Add the clothes, zip it up, toss in the suitcase

Viola! Finished packing!

The packing cubes worked out really well with lots of room leftover for shoes and toiletries. These are from eBags and come in a variety of sizes and colors. A few nice features of these packing cubes include mesh fabric that keeps the air circulating, double zippers to keep clothes secure and a nice handle for easy transport. I wanted two specific colors so I purchased 6 bags(3 medium and 3 small) in my chosen colors for around $40, not too bad at all. And, you can get a nice discount if you sign-up for email.

Have you used packing cubes?

Let’s Go…Luggage

Hello,
OMG! I’m so happy it’s Thursday – it hasn’t been a bad week, but I’m always ready for the weekend. And even more ready for a vacation. We’ve been talking travel for a few weeks now but we haven’t talked luggage! You gotta have somewhere to put all those cute vacation outfits!

What To Look For In Luggage

Luggage options are seriously endless and depend on how long you will be traveling. Luggage comes in a range of sizes from 19 inches up to 30 inches. There is also a variety of luggage fabric – nylon, leather, plastic, and polycarbonates. Look at the tag for the denier which determines the strength of the fabric. Be sure to check the frame of your luggage, try to avoid plastic, check the wheels on the luggage – they should roll very smoothly, the handles should glide up and down with ease, the zippers should open and close in one motion, and check the hardware(clasps, buckles, buttons) on the luggage to ensure it is firmly secured. I know you’ve seen sad travelers with luggage truly on its last leg. I think it is worth the investment – especially since we’ll be traveling a lot! A great site for luggage is ebags. You can find some great deals –eBags Sale & Clearance: Save up to 75% off MSRP on Handbags, Luggage, Backpacks, Laptop Bags & More!!

What is your favorite piece of luggage? Are you a carry-on or check-in traveler?
