What’s In My Bag?

Hello,
Congrats to the Seattle Seahawks! I had a blast watching the game with some good friends, but I think we ate more than we watched the game. And I have to say it, the million dollar Superbowl commercials really sucked this year, not one was a standout. Bravo to Bruno Mars though, he rocked it!

It’s been a year since my last What’s in my Bag so I’m sharing my latest with you lovelies today. This time around the talented artist Adjanys sketched all the mess in my bag.

My Mess:
Satchel – I love my Dooney & Bourke Retro Embossed Safari Crossbody. It’s actually a past season style but I love an embossed logo!
Notebook – Of course it has my initial from Poppin. Perfect size for a crossbody bag.
Sun-glass Case – Holds my eyeglasses and sunglasses.
Pen – I need something to jot down notes, this sleek Cross Stylist Ball Pen is pretty in pink.
Cell Phone – I’m in love with my Samsung Galaxy III, that is all!
Lip Balm – I know folks love eos, but it isn’t the best chap stick,IJS! I love the pink package though.
Mints – Just in case I meet “the one”, I’ll be minty fresh, at least for 3 hours with BreathSavers 3-Hour Mints.
Keys – Your keys might as well have a stylish home, a classic Tiffany and Co. keyring.
Card Case – A card case is a great alternative to a wallet.
Checkbook – I write checks on occasion, this cover is so ratty and my alma mater doesn’t carry it anymore, bummer.
Charger – A portable charger is an essential and this one works with all your electronics, checkout a pretty and practical option here.
Coin Purse – No more loose change all over my bag, thanks to this cute accessory from Coach.
Hand cream – This hand cream works wonders! Smooth, none greasy application with SPF 25.

This cross body is a good go-to, everyday bag, the perfect size and holds all my mess. Of all the messy goodies, the pink pen is my favorite! Cross still makes a great pen. What’s a favorite thing in your bag?

Tote bags are true fashion accessories and come in a variety of fabrics such as canvas, leather, and plastic. Lots of options beyond the traditional straw bag. It’s essential for carrying all your goodies – phone, tablet, books/magazines, lip balm, sunscreen, water bottle, and of course your beach towel. Choose a tote bag with shoulder straps so it’s easier to carry across a sandy beach. Now if you want to get super cute, match your tote bag to your swimsuit and cover-up! Can you say beach babe! Yep you still wanna be pretty on the beach. My pick is a tote in two major trends, black and white and floral. It’s a big bag with shoulder straps and matches my swimsuit!

OOTD #5 – Coral and Green

Hello Pretties,
I can’t believe this is my 5th time on the catwalk. All the rules out the window with this pic, blurry, bad inside lighting, but honestly it was the best of the bunch and I liked the color combination so here ya’ go.

A casual weekend look. I posted about the highly successful collaboration between designer Prabal Gurung and Target here. I finally had a chance to wear one of my favorite items from the collection. This t-shirt caught my eye because it works well with a bunch of colors, orange, fuchsia, yellow, purple, or black making it a very versatile piece.

It Ain’t Easy Being Green

Hello pretties,
It’s the last day of the work week, and the beginning of a holiday weekend. Sunday is Saint Patrick’s Day – a no muss no fuss holiday where anything goes. I pulled together a no frills but fun look to kick back in on Sunday.

One of the largest Saint Patrick’s Day Celebrations is held right here in Savannah, Georgia. Complete with a parade and all kinds of fun, from parties to live music and consuming large helpings of corned beef and cabbage. The whole city goes green including the historic fountain in Forsyth Park.

Yeah it ain’t easy being green, green with envy.Yeah, I wish I was headed to Savannah, but since I’m not, I will keep my fun and fellowship local with Mom’s b-day bash on Saturday and my Real Readers Book Club meeting on Sunday. A family and friends weekend!

Yes it’s Monday…again. Ready for a busy but productive week. I have been snagging some new jewelry and accessories for the Spring/Summer season. My weekend was pretty good, plans changed, but I had the pleasure of attending Heart Over Heels – A Girl’s Night Out shopping event at The Solarium At Historic Scottish Rite .

This event was organized by Raven at Raven J. and Tiffany at Royal T. Publicity complete with a red carpet, yummy refreshments and a DJ. There were several vendors and I purchased some really great pieces at affordable prices! Two of my favorite vendors were Dana at Blue Stilletto and Latasha at Urban Blu 3. Check these ladies out!
