Hello Pretties,
Camouflage is one of my favorite fashion trends. The military began using camouflage as military attire in the early 1900’s. Not just for the outdoorsy crowd, you can find camouflage all over the place in different colors and in unexpected styles. I made this outfit a little more sexy I’ll say by adding the top with the sheer neckline and arms. Now lovelies, wearing head to toe camo will definitely put you in the hunter girl or military maven category but adding it as an accent in a scarf, a top, or cute shoes is a subtle way to wear the camouflage trend.

What fashion trend are you trying this fall season?

OOTD – #27 Sparkly Sweatshirt

Hello pretties,
I’m trying out a comfy, casual fall fashion trend – the embellished sweatshirt. I’m talking rhinestones, studs, and sequins. I love sparkly bling of any kind and wearing it on a sweatshirt is right up my alley. I was so stoked to find the one I’m wearing at Old Navy for $20 bucks! It’s the perfect day/night option which can be paired with boyfriend jeans for day or a cute leather skater skirt for night.

Check out the lovely Jess at Jess Style Rules rocking another sparkly sweatshirt from Old Navy and these sparkly gems from ASOS.

These are not your old ratty gym sweatshirts. If you’re looking for a more creative and affordable option, try a DIY. This would be an easy project, some inspiration here, here, here. I blogged about Wander and Hunt website where you can purchase complete rhinestone kits. Hmmm, I think I’m feeling inspired too, more to come on the blog. You can wear it solo or layer with a chambray shirt or turtleneck. Sweatshirts are pretty and practical and a good summer to fall transition piece too!

Have you tried the embellished sweatshirt trend?

OOTD #26 – More Maxi

September 25, 2013 by robincharmagne 4 Comments

more maxi

Hey pretties,
How’s it going? We’re half way to the weekend, woohoo! Today’s OOTD is more maxi, taking the maxi skirt from summer to fall. Gray is one of my favorite neutrals that works for warmer and cooler temps! Leather is very on trend and a good transition piece for the fall. But, this jacket has just a hint of faux leather, a much more affordable option than real leather. Until it gets cooler, I’ll definitely wear this maxi more often pairing it with jackets and cardigans.

The Details;
Jacket – (T.J. Maxx) – similar here
T-shirt – (old) – similar here
Skirt – (old) – similar here
Handbag – (T.J. Maxx) – similar here
Necklace – (T.J. Maxx) similar here
Earrings – (Ashley Stewart) – similar here
Shoes (old) – similar here

Do you have a favorite summer piece you’re transitioning to fall?

OOTD #24 – Sparkle And Shine

September 11, 2013 by robincharmagne 8 Comments

Hello Pretty Ones,
It’s Wonderful Wednesday! Yep, half way to the weekend! Earlier this year, I posted about daytime sequins and today’s OOTD is all about that sparkle and shine, take a peek!

Jeans (Macy’s) – similar here
Handbag (old- Coach) – similar here

I’m back in my “uniform”, jeans and a cute top. That’s why I love the Fall fashion season, more jeans, yay! But I digress, the sparkle and shine of sequins in this top really make it pop, especially when done subtly for daytime! Still perfect for a glam night out but great for Sunday brunch with the girls!

Do you wear sequins for day, night or both?

OOTD #20 – Easy Does It

August 14, 2013 by robincharmagne 10 Comments

Hello Pretties,
This week is going by at a snail’s pace. Good news on the home front yesterday, Mom is at home recuperating, wooohoo!!! And guess what today is…Outfit of the Day #20. Wow, 20 outfits is a lot. I admire those fashionistas that put together something fly everyday. I remember my first outfit and all the nervousness of posing for the camera. But it’s a ton of fun and of course gives me a reason to shop! Today’s outfit is easy does it in my uniform, jeans and a cute top!

The Details:

Off the shoulder top(old) – similar here
Boyfriend jeans(old) – similar here
Animal print sandals(old) – similar here
Necklace(old) – similar here

I love an easy outfit that you can just throw on, add a piece of chunky jewelry and hit the door, feeling pulled together. This gauzy top is simple yet the cold shoulder is a nice detail that adds some interest. Boyfriend jeans are a favorite because they are effortlessly dressed them up or down.
I didn’t style a handbag with this outfit, but a wristlet would be a nice extra versus a heavier handbag.
What’s your easy does it outfit?

OOTD #15 – A Dress or A Maxi

June 19, 2013 by robincharmagne 6 Comments

Hey Pretty Ones,
Well more rainy days but I’m not complaining because my grass is happy and I like the cooler temps. Today’s OOTD features a paisley/floral maxi dress that converts to a maxi skirt, clever huh, very versatile.

Maxi skirt

The Details:
Top(Eloquii) – similar here
Dress-convertible(Lane Bryant) – similar here
Belt(Eloquii) – similar here
Necklace (Caroline G shop) – here
Bangle(Charming Charlie) – similar here
Sandals(6pm.com) similar here

It’s good to have pieces in your wardrobe that are multipurpose, to stretch that wardrobe budget. This maxi dress/skirt fits the bill. Simple top with my new favorite accessory – the belt. The bow detail is a simple complement since the maxi skirt is kinda busy and give me a waistline. I’m itching to do another DIY using the lucite bangle, maybe add rhinestones. The 3-stone necklaces are a take on the ever popular bubble necklaces which I blogged about here. Caroline G also carries a 1-stone necklace that’s cute too.

How do you get the most out of your wardrobe?

OOTD #4 -Graphics

March 27, 2013 by robincharmagne 16 Comments

Hello my pretties!

We’re right smack dab in the middle of the week, spirits start to rise on Wednesday with only two more days until the weekend. Well, one if your weekend starts on Friday. I’m on the catwalk today, but these baby making hips had me thinking twice about strutting my stuff.

Lesson learned for me this week, every photo is not going to be perfect, and really that’s okay. Sometimes you have to just put yourself out there, flaws and all.

Have you put yourself out there lately?
