Hello pretties,
Stripes! I think I am in love. I saw this top on Eloquii, my favorite fashion site! This top was labeled “coming soon” so I quickly added my email addy to the mailing list for first notice when the top would be available for sale. As soon as the email hit my inbox, I rushed to the site, number 1, hoping for a sale and number 2 hoping they still had it in my size, yes on both counts! Take a peek at this striped beauty!
So after my frantic purchase, I was a little apprehensive about a striped top. Let’s be real, stripes can be dicey, unflattering, and add girth. But this one worked out pretty well. Here are some tips for wearing this tricky but so trendy pattern.
How To Rock Stripes
1. Choose a vertical pattern, yep draws the eye up and down versus left to right giving the illusion of a leaner silhouette
2. Choose a multi color pattern, give the eye many points of focus in the fabric
3. Choose a smaller pattern, a wider stripe again can add weight and we ain’t got no time for that
Now horizontal stripes aren’t awful, but I think the vertical stripe works better for curvy girls. I wasn’t the only one that loved this top, it is now sold out on the site, but try these in vertical and horizontal stripes option 1, option 2, and yeah option 3. And here are the ponte knit pants, the block heel mules and satin clutch options.

Cute!!! I have a lot of horizontal striped shirts but no vertical striped shirts. But I think stripes are cute either way.
