Hi pretties,
How’s your week going? I’ve been seeing the quote above all over Instagram lately and I thought it ties into my 2015 Word of the Year – GROW. Three simple words with a big meaning – you can start over – as often as you like. When you attempt to GROW, there are things in your life that you will rewrite, change, modify. It’s all a part of the process.
Turning 50 was fun, but real talk, it was scary. What do I do with the next 50 years?? Do I continue in my current profession or try something new? Do I get this house retirement ready or find a new home that fits my lifestyle? Do I keep living this single life or take a dip in the dating pool? And that is a whole nother post!!! Heck do I keep trying new restaurants in The A or do I actually use all these pretty pots and pans and learn how to cook? LOL! A lot of questions.
50 to 100 and beyond doesn’t have to look like 1 to 50 because I can rewrite my story and continue on a path to GROW. It’s part of God’s grace. Every single day you can start again – a do over. That’s a beautiful gift.
How are you rewriting your story?

I have to admit that turning 50 was a low point in my life that I quickly got over when my friends got over their 50’s. Turning 60 was a time of rebirth and although I love my single life right now, I want to grow old with a nice Man. I have gotten plenty chances for a “do over” and used them all. Tomorrow I will try again and make each and every day count. I would venture to say. . . Get the house retirement ready! You will always need you own nice comfy bed.

Hey Neti,
I understand completely, you are rocking the 60’s lady!
That’s an interesting thought, at the age of 53, I am taking it a day at a time living life and staying positive. Although I know it’s time to downsize and get out of debt, I can’t let it consume my daily thoughts. I may have another 20 or 30 years or perhaps a mere 20 or 30 minutes, therefore, I am going to thank God everyday for a new day and then take it a step at a time.

Hi Antionette,
Love it! Good philosophy to live by!
Very Interesting… I have a few more years before the 50 mark but I know that my life story is forever evolving and I PRAY that I just live to see 50 + years and REJOICE DAILY!!!!!
