Did you gorgeous gals and guys have a great weekend? The A was absolutely pretty this weekend and I took complete advantage of it! And, Rihanna was absolutely pretty in pink at the Grammy Awards. Yeah, I liked the dress. Just loved the color of course but the simplicity and the complexity of this dress was amazing. Simple lines trimmed in silver sequins, with simple hair. But all done in tulle, a complex fabric, one of my favorites. The look and feel of this dress would have been totally different if Giambattista Valli had created this dress in just a silk, or a satin. Rihanna is a fashion icon, as my Mama says, Rihanna could wear a croaker sack (no I don’t know what a croaker sack is) and make a statement. She looked like a princess. I mean she is a Pop Princess so the dress is fitting.
Fashion is all about self-expression and Rihanna is fearless in her choice of styles. We should all be so fearless. You’ll never be comfortable with your fashion choices if you make them with others in mind. Wear what you want and what makes you give yourself a wink in the mirror.

I thought the dress was absolute lovely, I just wasn’t a fan of the dress on her. But I think it was a bold red carpet moment and she owned it! Crop tops use to scare me too, but I finally found the right kind for my body type. Now, you can’t tell me nothin’! 😉

I have to admit I was not crazy about the dress. Ever see one of those dome cakes with the top part of a barbie doll poking out the top? All I could think about! But whatever that girl wears she carries it with such confidence you almost forget your dislike for the item because all you see is her looking fierce!
btw (I can’t believe I know this) – a croaked sack is a burlap bag. I’ve always assumed it was called that because that’s the sort of bag you put frogs I when you go gigging.

I Love Rihanna and not a fan of this pink dress. When I look at all the others she has worn, this is a NO. One of these days I am going to get up enough nerve to try on a crop top. . . .ahem!!
