Happy Holidays Pretties,
Peace and blessings to you this holiday season. This is the holiday edition of the OOTD and the last one for 2016! I wanted a holiday look that was dressy and casual but not too over the top, take a peek…
This OOTD is one of my absolute favorites this year. The sweatshirt is a soft cotton with beautiful rhinestone detail. Grey is such a good neutral making it easy to pair with other colors. Y’all know I typically rock jeans and cute tops for a more casual look, but I decided to dress it up for the holidays and this sequin skirt was just the ticket. The sequin skirt is one my best buys. One of those pieces where you don’t know where you will wear it but dang it, you’re gonna come up with something. I have more than got my money’s worth from this skirt, so versatile and like the sweatshirt easily worn dressed up or dressed down.
The holiday season can be so overwhelming with shopping, cooking, and fellow-shipping, causing us to lose our peace. Don’t worry though, I have 3 ways to help you keep your peace right on into the New Year!
Keep Your Peace
1 – Laugh often- Do you know it is a scientific fact that laughter makes you feel better? Ever heard of endorphins, the magic elixir God put in each us. It flows freely when we laugh, helping us relieve stress and anxiety. That is the bomb.com. So, when your peace is fading, listen to a comedy podcast, call a funny friend, or watch a funny movie and get those endorphins flowing.
2 – De-clutter – My Mama always says, “A cluttered space, makes a cluttered mind.” Year end is a good time to get rid of all the stuff you are not using and are not going to use. You can be a blessing to someone by gifting these items or by donating them to charity. Clearing out your spaces with
will give you peace of mind to focus on the things that matter to you. Snag a few of these straw baskets to sort things out.
3 – Practice affirmation – For those times when you feel your temperature rising along with a sense of uneasiness, recite a positive affirmation. Positive self-talk is essential to your peace – “I can get through this situation with ease”,”I have all the tools I need to solve this problem,” you get the picture. As you repeat these affirmations, your confidence and your peace will increase.
How are you keeping your peace this holiday season?

I started saying affirmations this year and I love them. They are really helpful for training your mind to focus on the good. One of my favorites is “All is well in my world” .
