Party Fun – Cinco De Mayo

Hello,
Yes pretties, it is Cinco de Mayo! The 5th of May celebrates the battle of Puebla where the French tried to overtake Mexico. But they weren’t successful, so Mexico celebrates that victory on this day. This is one of those party holidays that a lot of people observe and it’s mostly about good food and drinks. Are you ready for the party? No worries, I’ve pulled together just what you’ll need to get the party started.

Now I have some bad news. Sadly, the French army was quite determined and came back to Mexico City a year later…and successfully defeated the Mexican army. I love an underdog story though, like David and Goliath. David had no fear and believed he could defeat Goliath. You have to believe you can win by putting forth your very best effort in every endeavor you undertake. A heart-felt try is better than giving up any day of the week. Mexico fought and won and fought again. Kinda like life, keep trying – you’ll win some and you’ll lose some, but you’re in the game and that’s all that matters.

But the celebration goes on, after all, a win is a win, even if short-lived. And, now you have all the goodies you need to entertain friends and family. I love that guacamole bowl, now I just need a good recipe. Have fun today pretties. Are you celebrating?
