Pantone?

January 9, 2013 by robincharmagne 2 Comments

Hello Pretties,

Have you ever been in your favorite store and noticed one color was predominate?

And then you said to yourself, “Why is there so much blue, yellow, or whatever color everywhere?”

Would you believe that there is a company that determines the hot color? Pantone is an organization that is the color expert. Many industries look to Pantone to determine the color of the year including Fashion and Home Decor. This year’s color is EMERALD.

According to Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®, “Green is the most abundant hue in nature – the human eye sees more green than any other color in the spectrum.” She went on to comment, “As it has throughout history, multifaceted Emerald continues to sparkle and fascinate. Symbolically, Emerald brings a sense of clarity, renewal and rejuvenation, which is so important in today’s complex world. This powerful and universally appealing tone translates easily to both fashion and home interiors.” So as you can see a lot of consideration goes into selecting what will make us feel pretty.

Green is my favorite color – I have green sofas and a few green dresses. I try not to go overboard though as I tend to do when I really like something 🙂

      Hi,
It is mine too and I didn’t realize how well it goes with so many colors! Have a great day!
