Y’all, September got the heck outta here, for real! I don’t think any month this year went by as fast as September. So, hey October! The holiday season is in full effect – bring on the pumpkins, hot chocolate, and yes cooler weather fashion! Today’s Faves On Friday are all about ways to enjoy the month of October.
1 – Perfect time to get out and take a hike, but you absolutely need some cute boots and they might as well be pink and waterproof
2 – Gas prices are at an all time low in the Southeast, take a road trip to a nearby town and discover something fun and fabulous. Use the AAA Trip Tik Travel Planner to map the best route
3 – Not sure where to go on your road trip, how about a state fair. Oh the turkey legs, funnel cakes, fried anything, ferris wheels and fairway games, good times
4 – This is most definitely snuggle weather so if staying inside is your thing, you are going to need some comfort food. Pull out that pink crock pot and try these Five Ingredient Crock Pot Recipes, yummy
5 – Wrap you and your sweetie up in a cozy pink blanket

I have a serious weakness for funnel cake! So bad for you, but soooo good!!
I’m just trying to get through the weather this weekend! We are getting pounded. Had almost 4 inches of rain in the past week and are expecting 8 to 10 between today and Sunday! Yikes! We also have a wind advisory for tonight and tomorrow. All that rain + wind = possible power outages. Glad I have a few books in my TBR pile and some crochet to work on.
I’m gonna have to check those Crockpot recipes.

September definitely flew by and I can’t believe it is almost Thanksgiving, my favorite holiday of the year…that is next to Labor Day!
