So yesterday I posted some motivation to get your Monday going. Real talk, Monday is my least favorite day of the week. I was feeling so blah after a fabulous birthday and vacation, but then a friend posted those 5 Daily Reminders which uplifted my mood. I hope you liked them too!
This week’s posts are mostly going to be about cruising and such! I had not cruised in 14 years so the anticipation was through the roof. This cruise was 6 days on the Carnival Breeze leaving from Miami traveling to Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. The experience was so much fun and far exceeded my expectations. I’m sharing the things that “made” this cruise experience awesome.
5 Takeaways
1 – Spend a little extra and get the cabin with a balcony. That view from that balcony was so incredible. You will chill out in your room! On this ship, room service was at no extra charge so we had breakfast on the balcony. How pretty is that? Yesss!!!
2 – Don’t stress about the formal night. Most ships have one or more elegant nights depending upon the number of travel days. A nice maxi dress with some details is a good choice. This maxi is one of those high-low styles with a touch of gold. I just added gold earrings and a cute wristlet. And of course you can wear a gown, saw lots of those too.
3 – You won’t need a lot of cash on ship because you will have a card – linked to a debit or credit card, to flash for everything you do on the ship that IS NOT free, i.e. paying for alcoholic drinks, smoothies, etc. Check your account daily. This ship had kiosks for you to review and print a statement or you can view on the tv in your cabin. You don’t want to get charged for somebody else’s mojito!
4 – Sea Days are fun! Those are the days you are traveling to a beautiful locale. Take advantage of all the ship’s activities. Check the ship’s itinerary for all the happenings of the day and have a ball! There is shopping, shows, auctions, movies, adventure rides, water slides, bingo, casino, whew, no shortage of good times! My favorite – outdoor movie-dabomb.com for realz!!!
5 – There is a photographer around every corner – buy those pictures! How often will you have access to a professional photographer to capture your vacay memories, it’s worth it!
