Money Is No Object

September 8, 2015 by robincharmagne 10 Comments

Hello,
Another holiday under our belts! With a few more around the corner, I am anxiously awaiting the holiday season – so many opportunities to freshen up your home and money is no object – for real. Decorating is just like fashion, it can be super affordable or super expensive. There are almost always reasonably priced options for a table, chair, fabric or even art. You can decorate your pretty spaces without spending a ton of money. Now don’t get me wrong, there is absolutely nothing wrong with spending a grip to make your space you own. But it isn’t a requirement for having a pretty home. Heck you don’t even have to have all new stuff. Don’t forget those sentimental home accents that are unique to you and your family. The changing season is an excellent time to add a few accents around the home. They can be as low-cost as some gourds or pumpkins on a mantle or pumpkin scented candles. You could really try either one of these ideas for less than $10, seriously.

This quote sums it up! I’ll be sharing tons more on decorating options for any budget.

Does money keep you from making your space pretty?

Have a pretty day!

Money does not make it pretty but it sure helps. I hate to part with sentimental stuff and try to recycle it. I am so looking forward to your series. Kudos Sista!

      Hey Neti,
LOL, yes it does help, but there are so many options for low cost decorating! Sentimental things really make a home, a home.

I love finding home decor on a budget, but right now as you know I am trying to declutter so haven’t really purchased anything new for the season.

Love that quote! I love the Hi-Lo mix, but it’s still hard not overspending 🙂

      Hi Merrie,
Yes you can generally find something similar at a lower price but there are some things worth the splurge!

I find myself getting into the “less is more” mindset. (I joke that I’m mentally prepping for that tiny house I want) Unless I am replacing something, I am trying not to buy something unless I really really LOVE it. And if that means spending a little more or going without – so be it. But it’s amazing what an older vase, bowl or pitcher and a few flowers, branches and/or leaves from outside can make in your home

      Hi Beckey,
Yes I agree everything doesn’t have to be new for your space to be pretty!

I’m looking forward to reading more decorating posts from you. Decorating does not come natural to me, so I need lots of help in this area.
