OMG! I’m so happy it’s Thursday – it hasn’t been a bad week, but I’m always ready for the weekend. And even more ready for a vacation. We’ve been talking travel for a few weeks now but we haven’t talked luggage! You gotta have somewhere to put all those cute vacation outfits!
What To Look For In Luggage
Luggage options are seriously endless and depend on how long you will be traveling. Luggage comes in a range of sizes from 19 inches up to 30 inches. There is also a variety of luggage fabric – nylon, leather, plastic, and polycarbonates. Look at the tag for the denier which determines the strength of the fabric. Be sure to check the frame of your luggage, try to avoid plastic, check the wheels on the luggage – they should roll very smoothly, the handles should glide up and down with ease, the zippers should open and close in one motion, and check the hardware(clasps, buckles, buttons) on the luggage to ensure it is firmly secured. If I’m just going for a quick weekend trip then I usually take a soft side carry on piece but for longer vacation travel I prefer to check in a hard side bag. When I get new luggage I always try to find a piece with a bright color or unique design so I can recognize it easily in baggage claim!

I am a check-in luggage kinda gal and I hate carrying anything around the airport other than my handbag. So, I have a large handbag to carry my important stuff and have hands free to carry back my in-port liquors. (Gotta have my priorities..LOL!) Have a great weekend!
