Hello pretties,
Hong Kong for Spring Break 2016, EPIC! I had no plans for visiting this unique destination, but a deal popped up on a Thursday, booked the flight on Friday, booked the hotel on Saturday, and flew out on Wednesday. YOLO! When these travel deals pop-up honey, you gotta jump on em’. I am going to share more on how to snag deals in a future post! Part One of the trip highlights, take a peek…(sorry for the slow load)!
This was my first flight on United and my first long haul flight – 23 hours. United was pretty good, very similar experience to flying hometown favorite Delta. The plane was ginormous and our seats were fairly comfortable. So what are you going to do for 23 hours? There were a lot of options for on-board entertainment – movies, tv shows, games, etc. and I brought my Samsung Galaxy tablet loaded with magazines and books. In addition, the airline kept us hydrated and well fed throughout the journey with lots of snacks and meals and plus we had our own stash of favorites too. So after being super giddy and watching a couple of movies, we slept most of the flight. My neck pillow and pashmina were essential for getting restful sleep on the plane. But you must get up and move around on these long flights to keep the blood circulating!!! Next post, I am excited to share more about the trip of a lifetime and of course more photos of life and times in Hong Kong.
What is the longest flight you have taken and to where?

That’s awesome that you took advantage of a last minute deal. I wish my husband and I had traveled more before we had kids.
I never would have imagined that there would be 7-Elevens in Hong Kong. It’s great that they had fresh fruit and veggie stands. I wish those were more popular here.

Would love to visit Hong Kong! Corn at McD’s? That’s hysterical! My longest flight was coming back from Hawaii. 14 hours. Got on in the evening and slept through the night until the next morning. Thanks for linking up with #TrafficJamWeekend.
