GROW…The Word FOR 2015

January 5, 2015 by robincharmagne 13 Comments

Grow

Hello,
Happy 2015. I hope y’all had a fabulous holiday! I so enjoyed my time off and yes it was somewhat of a struggle to get back in the swing of things. Another year and a new set of opportunities to have awesome adventures. This year I’m doing something a little different – choosing a word of the year. This year its GROW.
grow-definition

Having a milestone birthday last year had me thinking about the next half of my life and how I want to live it! I acknowledge that staying in my comfort zone has not allowed me to grow. I’m afraid of that discomfort that comes with doing things that are different but encourage growth. 2014 wasn’t awful, the b-day rocked. But as the year closed out, I was feeling like, you’re in a rut – getting way to comfortable and not growing. Have you ever felt like you were in a rut? So this year, the comfort zone is being kicked to the curb. The only way to grow, mentally, spiritually, physically, socially, and financially, is to get uncomfortable. To take a different path. The path might be thorny, curvy, or just not all that pretty. But it is the path to growth.

I don’t have a laundry list of sweeping resolutions, but I do have a list of goals – things to get done in all aspects of life. The question I’m asking with every goal is how can I accomplish this goal in such a way that I grow as a person? Not necessarily taking the comfortable route to achieve the goal but taking the thorny path if it enhances my growth.

I just want to be a better me! How are you growing in 2015?

Great advice on taking a difficult path. We do grow when we are challenged. I’m spending this month deciding on what my goals for 2015 will be. I do plan to jump into something that does scare me but I feel that I don’t really have a choice. Thank you for visiting my blog earlier. Have a great 2015!
