Hey pretties,
What a lovely weekend, a breezy and sunny day in The A, picture perfect. One of my favorite things to do, especially when the weather cooperates, is to hit up one of the many festivals in the area. Festival fun was on my Spring To-do List.
Inman Park Festival
Inman Park is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Atlanta founded in 1890. A bit of history, The Battle of Atlanta was fought in Inman Park in 1864. The festival includes a parade and a tour of homes, as well as the artists market and fun for the kids in the kidzone. This was the 43rd year of the festival and it did not disappoint. Lots of interesting art – guitars made out of cigar boxes, beautiful handmade jewelry, handmade apothecary, fresh baked bread, modern birdhouses, and eco/fair trade goodies. Oh yeah, lots of good food – the longest line was for sooba noodles. Who knew! The music was really good, especially the young lady playing the violin, outstanding!
If you’re visiting the Atlanta area in the near future, stop by one of these fun festivals:
