Forest Beds – More Or Less

Hello,
How’s everyone doing? I worked yesterday but if you had a day of rest, I hope you made the most of it! Today we are talking home decor costs. I posted about money not being a factor in decorating. But, there’s a flip side to that statement because there are times when you may want to spend more on a home decor item. For today’s More Or Less, take a peek at these beds.

Now these are some fancy pants beds. They are canopy beds in a rustic style with whimsical details reminiscent of a forest. The head-board and the foot-board are quite ornate with life-like leaves and branches. One of these beds is over $5,000 and one is over $10,000. Yes ma’am that is some mega money for a place to sleep, but there are some occasions where you may splurge on a home decor item that is custom-made or has a unique design. If you consider that you will spend an exorbitant amount of time in your bedroom, then you should make that room aesthetically pleasing.

We talked about price points and even among higher end items, it pays to do your homework. In this example, you can save at least $5,000 by purchasing the lesser priced bed in a similar design. Did you guess which bed is less than $10,000?

I remember my first headboard was made by me using a door from the hardware store and I painted it red. It cost me $64.00 including paint and I was so darn proud of it. I showed it off for about 9 years until I moved and it got damaged. $10,000 for a bed that does not even include mattress is not in my future but I would love to see it decorated with some crisp whites and a splash of orange. When will we see yours? Enjoy your week. . .

These are some big numbers, Robin!
I bought the whole bedroom set for $3,000 about 10 years ago. The best investment that I have ever made.
Lots of hugs, darling! And thanks for the IG tag. I will have a post ASAP!
