Hello Pretties,
How are ya’? Good I hope! The weekend was very quiet, lunch and shopping with a GGF (good girl friend) and chillaxin the rest of the weekend. I did not want October to go by without acknowledging two important causes – Breast Cancer Awareness and Domestic Violence Awareness. These are two important issues that affect women and men from all walks of life, neither of these discriminate.
Breast Cancer Awareness
Get those mammos! Mark your calendar and get your mammography on or around your birthday so you don’t forget. Worried about the cost? Breast cancer screening is now more available to medically under-served communities through the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (NBCCEDP). Please call the CDC at 1-800-CDC INFO OR (1-800-232-4636) for assistance. For all my pretty divas and dudes, more than half of all cancer deaths could be prevented by making healthy choices – don’t smoke or quit, maintain a healthy weight, eat good for you foods, stay active, and get your screenings! Visit The American Cancer Society for a boatload of good information.
Domestic Violence Awareness
Don’t suffer in silence, if you are repeatedly being exposed to behavior designed to oppress or control or exert power over you – verbally or physically, get help! Visit The National Domestic Violence Hotline for assistance.
Do share with others! Have a Marvelous Monday!

These are two great causes, indeed. Thanks for reminding us. Things like these get forgotten sometimes.

Hi Nerline,
Yep, both are so important and worthy, have to keep them in the fore front!
