Hello pretties,
Epic Hong Kong China, continuing my last post with more pictures of life and times in this far east locale. I think I have close to 300 pictures! These are some of the city sights as well as some of the tourist spots…take peek ( may load slowly).

Temple Street Night Market – you can buy anything here, opens at 4pm

Most Hong Kong Chinese have a washing machine, but most do not have a dryer, you’ll see this a lot

Street scene – city buses

My favorite! Epic doesn’t even describe the Big Buddha

10,000 Buddhas, all in gold, beautiful

Five Epic Facts About Hong Kong
1.Hong Kong is an Island
2.Hong Kong has its own money, the Hong Kong dollar
3.Hong Kong Chinese speak English and learn it in school
4.Hong Kong has more skyscrapers than any other city in the world
5.Hong Kong has more Rolls Royce’s per person than any other city in the world
I had no expectations for this trip since I have never traveled to Asia or traveled this far, over 16,000 miles round trip. It far exceeded my expectations. Biggest surprise, English is spoken by most of the people we encountered so no language barrier at all. What I didn’t do, eat a lot of local food, one time on the food court at the mall, called Food Opera. It was so nice, like eating in a really modern dining room with fancy chairs and pretty light fixtures. Most of the stalls served Chinese, Japanese, Singaporean, Vietnamese or Thai. The second authentic meal we had was the vegetarian meal at the monastery which was so good. We ate at the hotel restaurant – LaScala, absolutely beautiful, McDonald’s, and Outback …LOL I admit my palate is not sophisticated so I wasn’t ready to try Dim Sum just yet, but we ate really good this trip!

We ate good!

Hi Audrey, thank you, I would love to visit again!
You look like you had a blast sight seeing. My favorite foods to eat while traveling will always be the local food from my home (U.S. Virgin Islands). One of my main reasons to travel back home is for the food.
