Del Frisco’s Grille – The Weekend

April 27, 2015 by robincharmagne 6 Comments

Buckhead-Restaurant-Week
Hello Pretties,
Ohhh the weekend went by sooo fast. I just don’t know where it went because half the time, I was under the weather. Silly Spring cold, but I am much better today. But I would not let a little cold keep me from enjoying a good meal. Yep, last week was Buckhead Restaurant Week. Restaurant Weeks are the perfect way to try out new restaurants without breaking the bank. I picked a winner, check it out!

There was an amazing selection of restaurants on the The Buckhead Restaurant Week list, but I chose Del Frisco’s Grille, a steakhouse. I had heard so much about the steaks and the service. But I also heard it was “loud and bouncy”, that’s my kinda spot. Don’t get me wrong I love a good meal, but ambiance is what keeps me coming back. Del Frisco’s Grille is like a hip but casual lounge, with modern decor in red accents. I would say the gem of the restaurant is the outdoor dining on two levels.

I was too thrilled when I saw meatloaf on the special menu, my favorite comfort meal. I’m getting a head of myself here because the appetizer of deviled eggs with truffle chive vinaigrette was errythang. These are not your auntie’s deviled eggs, they were finger licking good. I was being cute and cutting each one with my knife but I wanted to pick them up and eat them with my fingers. OK so back to the meatloaf much lighter made with veal on top of some serious mashed potatoes, minus the ketchup/tomato topping. And then for dessert, nutella bread pudding topped with coffee ice cream. Um yeah, sooo good. And I didn’t even mention my drink, The VIP, their number one drink, it was good too!

Yes I’ve raved about the food, but the service was beyond my expectations. One thing that ladies like is to be treated like a queen. The manager Mike welcomed us to Del Frisco’s and then checked on us throughout our meal, remembering our names each time he came to the table. We felt so special and that just made the evening even better.

I give Del Frisco’s an A+ for ambiance, food and service. Have you tried restaurant week in your town?

Yum, Yum . I would have to skip the meat loaf just for a large serving of the nutella bread pudding with coffee ice cream. Top that off with a couple of the VIP’s and I am good to go. . . Enjoy it all my dear!!

I never heard of this place before; could be because I’m not in Buckhead much. But I would love to try this place out!
