Hello,
I’m so happy to be back in the blogging saddle! I’ve missed y’all! I had a blast last week on my first work-cation. Yeah I made that word up for a trip that combines work with a little R&R. I had the pleasure of visiting beautiful but cold Denver, Colorado with one of my traveling diva friends. I saw more snow last week than I have seen in my entire life. I completely understand why folks flock to Denver to ski. And, no I didn’t ski this trip, but I would love to go back and hit the slopes, even though I am an awful skier.
And, surprisingly, it wasn’t all that cold, not like 10 degrees or 5 below as I had anticipated. I was ready for the cold weather in my quilted parka and snow boots. These are two staples if you live in a cold weather state. The women of Denver rocked all manner of parka and boot combos looking stylish and warm in their cold weather gear. I snagged a very lightweight water-repellant parka for $27 and the waterproof snow boots for around $30, I have had the fur boots for 2 years and I must say they are a fave. I’ve curated two cold weather gear looks. Take a peek!
A change of scenery is a good thing, especially if you can visit some place beautiful. It was good to have packed just the right cold weather gear for this trip. Which look is your fave?

Not that cold in Denver…wow, I would have thought otherwise. We got a bad storm on Saturday but Sunday’s sun melted it all away…oh but it did refreeze overnight – BRING ON SPRING!

Hi Antionette,
I know right. On the last night there, we didn’t even wear coats, just scarves. I really loved seeing the snow though, so pretty!

It is fun to visit and you did good combining work with funtime, but I cannot consider Colorado the place to be in the winter unless you love the chill. Next time you should come South.
