Hi Pretties,
Ooooweee, 4 days and counting y’all then I’m funning and sunning. If you’ve been around robincharmagne for a minute, then you know in my OOTDs, I don’t wear dresses very often. There’s a reason for that…let’s talk about the dreaded chub rub. Have you heard of it? Well let me tell you, if you’re a chubby girl with an extra helping of thighs, then you know about that fire. See chub rub is when your thighs rub together when you walk. Uh huh, ain’t that some ish. So to avoid it, I just forgo dresses most of the time in favor of jeans. But when I do wear a dress, chub rub is a pain. I posted this lovely floral dress on Instagram and I really love it for vacation but dang that rubbing….
So today I’m sharing some tips for making that fire in the thighs burn out, including my favorite choice!
1 – An inexpensive option is just plain ole deodorant. It makes sense because deodorant keeps you dry and moisture is what causes the chafing. No special ingredients or brands needed.
2 – Now don’t get this one confused, it is for the area a little higher up, Monistat chafing powder. Since it is from a medical company that is widely successful with that other product, so I think it is another less expensive alternative.
3 – Also cheap and easy to find is biker shorts which are multi-purpose, you can work out in them too.
4 – This is a pretty choice if you want something that looks good, bandelettes . I’m sure this does the trick but I think it is a bit pricey for a lil piece of fabric.
5 – My favorite solution is a thigh shaper. Spanx makes a good one that isn’t too tight, eliminates chafing, and smooths the tummy. That’s a win-win!
My go-to is still jeans, but it’s nice to know if I wear a dress, I don’t have to worry about chub rub, so the floral number is going in the suitcase.
Do you have a body dilemma that limits your style choices?

Soror Robin…I just want to say THANK YOU for sharing your TIPS!!! I APPRECIATE YOU SOOO MUCH!!! GETTING CANCUN, READY!!! 🙂
Woo woo love helping my pretty girls!
Oh yes, the old chub rub. I’m not a jeans person so I wear bike shorts almost daily. I prefer dresses, especially in the summer and the shorts really save the day.
Hi Robin, yes the biker shorts are a good option for sure. Thanks for stopping by!
No to chub rub. . . give me some capris in any fabric and I am happy. I will only wear dresses for special occasions and then they have to be midi or maxi. Enjoy your vacay my dear. . .

Girl, that’s why I wear pants, but I do like dresses so it is good to have some options.
A girl gotta love her Spanx. Great tips Robin. I am not a big fan of wearing dresses either, but I do look good in them.

Hi Sonya,
Yeah it is real, but there are some good ways around it! Thanks and have a good day lady!
Oh my gosh!! I am ALL TOO familiar but had no idea it had a name. Last weekend I had some serious chub rub going on. (Ooooooweee… that is a whole different kinda heat they have down there!) And I forgot my shaper. Wish I had known the deo trick then!
