May 16, 2016 by robincharmagne 4 Comments

swoon-instagram-robincharmagne

Hello,
Swoon, yes swooning. That is what happens every time I open Instagram. And if you don’t know about Instagram or the land of selfies as I affectionately call it – it is a photo-sharing site where literally millions of people from all over the world are sharing all facets of their life on Instagram via photos. Whatever you love, you will find it on the gram. Today I’m sharing some of my favorite swoon-worthy accounts. These Instagrammers encompass some of my favorite things, lifestyle, fashion, home decor, travel and planning.

Carla Bethany’s account is airy, light and bright. She showcases lifestyle, flora and fauna, cool spaces – checkout her photo of The Waffle House, her beautiful home, and her fur baby Maybelline.

Travelnoire is a traveler’s dream gram. So many beautiful photos of locales both well-known and new from all over the world. The best part are the real life travel photos submitted by followers. So fun to see other people loving travel.
maebad
Maebad is a lawyer by trade but her planning is amazing. Her account features lots of planner layouts, cool quotes, and elements of style and fashion. She creates and sells a line of beautiful planner stickers.

Munaluchi Bride is an account that makes me want to get married over and over. This site features real life couples and lots of wedding inspiration from dresses and hair to cakes and invitations.

Instagram is fast becoming one of my favorite apps with so many beautiful accounts. Checkout these lovely accounts and you can find robincharmagne on the gram too!

Hopper App – Let’s Go

May 5, 2016 by robincharmagne 4 Comments

Hello pretties,
Hopper is one more app to add to your smartphone. Y’all know I love to travel but I have to get my coins in order. I do not want to spend all my money on just the flight cause sightseeing, eating, and shopping are always a part of the vacay plans. So in steps Hopper. This app is the bomb, it not only lets you book the flight via your phone, but tells you when it is the best time to buy your ticket.

Hopper gives the details on future flight prices

If you decide to buy, you can pick the airline and then book the flight

hopper-delta-robincharmagne

Sadly, all the airlines don’t supply flight details

Hopper is a cool app that I have been using for a few weeks now to plan for some upcoming trips. This is an easy way to watch multiple trips and get information for most airlines, except of course my hometown favorite Delta. But to secure a good deal, I would definitely fly a different airline. It is a free app and there are no hidden fees with booking your flight. And don’t worry, the site is secure and you can select seats and check bags all in the app. Look for it on iTunes and Google Play.

Do you use an app for flight deals?

Enjoy Cinco de Mayo today!

Tech Travel – Faves On Friday

May 29, 2015 by robincharmagne 6 Comments

Tech-travel-apps
Happy Friday!
A four-day work week is so awesome and this one is now over, let the weekend begin. Sooo, I had vlog for y’all but I could not get the lighting right – it rained all day it was just dark and gloomy, so I’ll save that until Monday. But now with Memorial Day in the rear view mirror, travel season is on and popping. To get you ready to travel, I have hand-picked some cool tech and apps that will make your travel season easy breezy.

1 – Losing your luggage or missing luggage is the worst travel nightmare. But don’t fret, Trakdot Luggage Tracker, saves the day. Just pop it in your luggage and you can find your luggage just by using the app on your phone ($49.99, for iOS and Android)
2- Are you traveling internationally, then WhatsApp is for you. You can send unlimited pictures, text messages, audio and video messages back home without any international charges using a WiFi connection (FREE for 1 yr, then .99 afterwards, for iOS and Android)
3 – If you rent a car, you’re gonna need to park it somewhere, SpotHero can find you the ideal spot. Locate and reserve a parking spot in less than a minute. Now it isn’t available in all cities, but you’ll find it in some major U.S. cities, like San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and Chicago, with more cities being added (FREE, for iOS and Android)
4 – Raincoat or fur boots, you’ll know what to pack using The Weather Channel app (FREE, for iOS and Android)
5 – I love airports, so many sights and sounds. But, they can be confusing, use GateGuru to help navigate the airport from dining options to restrooms(FREE, for iOS and Android)

Technology has seriously changed the face of travel with the advent of the Internet and smart phones. Most of these goodies are FREE and very easy to use. My favorite is WhatsApp, saved me a ton of money on my b-day vacay to London. You can even setup groups and chat with the whole fam at one time. Isn’t that cool?

What travel apps do you swear by? Have a fab weekend!

More or Less…Fireplace Candelabras

More or Less

Hi,
I have a fireplace in my home, but I don’t use it so I really like the idea of a fireplace candelabra to add light and an accent. This week’s More or Less has me truly puzzled. I can’t even imagine why you would pay $500 bucks for virtually the same thing. But it’s a good example of why shopping around is essential. A very good app for price comparisons is PriceGrabber.

Price Grabber, shopping apps

PriceGrabber App

PriceGrabber, available for iPhone and Android, has thousands of prices for products and services (Clothing, Babies & Kids, Electronics, Computers, TV’s, Furniture, Fashion, Cameras and more) to help you find the right product at a good price. The retail options include the big box stores like Best Buy, Office Depot and Walmart, as well as local retailers. And, the app calculates taxes and shipping information, along with detailed product reviews. Another good feature is the email notifications with the best prices and product availability for that special something you’re looking to buy.

I’m sold on the less version! Have you used a price comparison app or website?

App Of The Week

January 3, 2014 by robincharmagne Leave a Comment

My Fitness Palx

Hello,
Oh I am smiling real big, so many kind and supportive comments on yesterday. I wrote and re-wrote and deleted that post many times. But sometimes you gotta for it and I’m so glad I did! It’s so good to hear everyone on the path to getting healthy. We are definitely all in this together and I’m so looking forward to seeing everyone’s progress.

Today I’m posting the App of The Week, My Fitness Pal, a smart phone app that tracks diet and exercise. This app is so cool, you not only track your food, but your exercise and water intake. Best of all, it has a million restaurants and food products which makes it easy to track what you eat, including that craving for Mickey D’s french fries(if you have a cheat day). The best part of My Fitness Pal is the QR reader. Scan the UPC code and that bag of almonds is added to your food lists. Isn’t that awesome.

Download this app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Now setup your profile and let’s get on the road to Fitness!
