Do’s and Dont’s – Fur

February 7, 2018 by robincharmagne 5 Comments

how-to-care-for-fur-robincharmagne
Hello pretties,
Last December, I had the pleasure of attending a shop and sip for my sister/friend Lenna. Her online store Top Half Boutique sells all things for your cute top half – blouses, sweaters, jackets, scarves and wraps that are stylish and affordable! It is so funny that I was just about to leave the event when I spotted this fur piece. I got this baby home and snapped this pic for Facebook. So y’all know I love faux leather and faux fur. So, I posted on Facebook how much I loved my new faux fur. Well guess what Lenna tells me, it ain’t faux sis, it is real fox and rabbit. Ohhh okay. I was so glad she told me because that changed how I would care for and store this beauty. Today I am sharing some tips on how to care for fur!

Given that me and the cold weather really ain’t friends, these colder days have given me loads of opportunities to rock this fur piece. Check out Top Half Boutique, shop and get 20% off. This gorgeous piece has sold out but here are some good options:

Do you rock fur, real or otherwise?

More Floral Love – Booties And Shoes

October 4, 2017 by robincharmagne 4 Comments

Hello pretties,
The love affair with florals is real. This trend is so hot this season in all aspects of fashion. But, it can be overwhelming to be completely decked out in roses, chrysanthemums, tulips, peonies, and daises, so as I always say, try the trend in small doses. The best way to do that is with shoes – boots, booties, sneakers or mules! Today, I hand-picked some super cute options all less than $100.

For as little as $23 bucks, you can dip not just your toe, but your entire foot in this trend with any one of these affordable options. My favorite are the Wild Diva mules with the tassels for style and comfort. Dress them down with your favorite pair of jeans or dress them up with a midi skirt, bodysuit and a biker jacket. Now that’s a cute outfit!

Is the floral trend your bouquet or a bunch of weeds? Definitely my bouquet!

Architecture – Amsterdam Week – Part 2

May 18, 2017 by robincharmagne 6 Comments

Hello pretties,
Another segment of Amsterdam week featuring beautiful architecture. From my first day in Amsterdam, I started snapping photos of buildings. You will find a fantastic mix of old and new buildings all across the city with unique details. These are a few of the beauties I captured…take a peek…

Call me the nerdy diva because it is so interesting to see the architecture of other cities and hear about the history of the buildings and how they shaped the city’s landscape. An interesting tidbit is a lot of the buildings and homes on the canals don’t have elevators so a hoist is used to move furniture and things into the buildings. Can you imagine seeing fridge or a couch being hoisted up to the top of a building? Pretty clever!

What types of photos do you like to capture while vacationing?

Season’s Greetings pretties,
Are you done with the Christmas shopping? Or, better question, have you started? No you say, well I’m here to help with a holiday gift guide featuring My Favorite Things. These are all products I actually use on the daily, my must haves, take a peek…
title-robincharmagne

My Top 3 Faves

1 – Has to be the Lancome eyeliner pencil in Kohl. My friends know this because I have used this brand for years, only brand I use. It goes on smooth, lasts all day and sharpens nicely.
2 – If you follow my OOTDs, you already know I have a love for distressed jeans – in all colors. So fashion forward ad easy to dress up or down. I hope they never fall out of fashion.
3 – That Calvin Klein Euphoria will turn heads for real. It smells so good, subtle but sexy!!!

Did these suggestions help? What are your daily go-to items you would gift this Christmas?

velvet-for-fall-robincharmagne

Hello pretties,
Velvet is kinda making a comeback this fashion season. The richness and weight of this fabric makes it so good for the cooler temps. So smooth in a variety of styles for clothing and accessories. I handpicked a few of my faves, take a peek…

You can wear this trend full on in a top or bottom. But if you just want to dip you toe in velvety waters, try a handbag or a shoe. Totally wearable for day or night, think brunch or holiday party.

Are you rocking this trend?

5 Ways To Get Ready For Cuddle Season

November 15, 2016 by robincharmagne Leave a Comment

cuddle-time-robincharmagne

Cuddle time is here, but you would not know it because the high for today is near the 80’s in The A today. But it is coming so let’s get ready for a true Netflix and Chill nights! Here are 5 ways to get you and your home ready!

1 – Nothing is better than walking into a well scented room. Get your home smelling good with cinnamon candles or fill a pretty dish with potpourri.

2 – Cuddling requires a pretty throw for your couch or sectional. You and your special someone will be nice and cozy.

3 – Bring the outside in. Gather up some leaves, pine-cones or nuts to create that fall feel indoors. Layer in a pretty vase to add to the ambiance.

4- S’mores are the perfect cuddling snack. Have fun building and sharing this yummy treat.

5 – Plaid pjs scream fall and are super soft for getting up close and personal.

I do hope the air starts to get crisp so we have stay indoors to reconnect. What movie would you recommend for an evening of cuddling?

Fall Trends Under $25

October 26, 2016 by robincharmagne 4 Comments

three-trends-under-25-on-roincharmagne

Hello pretties,
Fall fashion trends are in full effect and today I am spotlighting three of my favorites for October- bomber jackets, booties, and statement necklaces. How fun is it to jazz up your style with a new trend and there is no reason to spend a whole bunch of coins! I handpicked 9 examples of trends all under $25, yep a jacket, or booties, or a statement necklace at this amazing price point.

Who does not love a bargain?? Especially this time of year as we gear up for holiday shopping?? I have said many times on robincharmagne, fashion does not have to be expensive. Now, of course you can wear all these trends together in a cute outfit or try a flowy midi skirt with the bomber, a sweater dress with the booties, or add just the right touch of pizazz to an LBD(little black dress) with the statement necklace.

How would you style one of these trends?

Fall Wreath – DIY

October 25, 2016 by robincharmagne 6 Comments

fall-initial-wreath-on-robincharmagne

Hello pretties,
There is a Fall nip in the air here in The A so I thought it was a good time for some seasonal decorating. Adding a decor feature to the front door is a good way to enhance your home’s exterior. Take a peek…

Start with a wreath shell, which can be metal or twig, or even styrofoam

Select fall theme garland which could be just leaves or include some decorative items such as berries or nuts

Supplies

Wreath shell
Seasonal garland
Decorative picks
Extra decorative items
Ribbon

This project was inspired by @faithnista and was not hard at all. I was lucky to get all the supplies at Hobby Lobby for 40% off during a fab sale except the “R” which I purchased last season. Y’all know my DIYs are 15 minutes or less, so it took no time to put this wreath together. I love the way it turned out and since it doesn’t scream Halloween or Thanksgiving, my front door will be dressed up for several weeks. I am already thinking of ideas for a Christmas holiday door.

Do you decorate your front door for the season or a holiday?

Fur Baby – More Or Less

October 18, 2016 by robincharmagne 4 Comments

fur-chair-robincharmagne
Hi Pretties,
Fur Chairs are all the rage right now. A warm seat as the temps begin to drop! This chair is a modern luxe look in gold and sheepskin. Fur might ring memories of furry dice; but it can really add texture to an otherwise flat space.

Both chairs are pricey but one will set you back just a bit less. When you really want to add something special to your space, add a pretty fur baby like this chair. Are you adding fur to your decor?
