More Floral Love – Booties And Shoes

October 4, 2017 by robincharmagne 4 Comments

Hello pretties,
The love affair with florals is real. This trend is so hot this season in all aspects of fashion. But, it can be overwhelming to be completely decked out in roses, chrysanthemums, tulips, peonies, and daises, so as I always say, try the trend in small doses. The best way to do that is with shoes – boots, booties, sneakers or mules! Today, I hand-picked some super cute options all less than $100.

For as little as $23 bucks, you can dip not just your toe, but your entire foot in this trend with any one of these affordable options. My favorite are the Wild Diva mules with the tassels for style and comfort. Dress them down with your favorite pair of jeans or dress them up with a midi skirt, bodysuit and a biker jacket. Now that’s a cute outfit!

Is the floral trend your bouquet or a bunch of weeds? Definitely my bouquet!

Fall Trends Under $25

October 26, 2016 by robincharmagne 4 Comments

three-trends-under-25-on-roincharmagne

Hello pretties,
Fall fashion trends are in full effect and today I am spotlighting three of my favorites for October- bomber jackets, booties, and statement necklaces. How fun is it to jazz up your style with a new trend and there is no reason to spend a whole bunch of coins! I handpicked 9 examples of trends all under $25, yep a jacket, or booties, or a statement necklace at this amazing price point.

Who does not love a bargain?? Especially this time of year as we gear up for holiday shopping?? I have said many times on robincharmagne, fashion does not have to be expensive. Now, of course you can wear all these trends together in a cute outfit or try a flowy midi skirt with the bomber, a sweater dress with the booties, or add just the right touch of pizazz to an LBD(little black dress) with the statement necklace.

How would you style one of these trends?

Tie Them Up – Summer Sandals

May 20, 2016 by robincharmagne 10 Comments

Hello pretties,
Tie up shoes and sandals are so popular right now and with the first big warm weather holiday right around the corner, now is a good time to snag some of these cute sandals. When it gets warm, I tend to pull out my ratty flip flops, but we can all elevate our summer style with tie-up sandals. I hand picked these styles all under $50, take a peek…

Don’t these scream summer time? Because the strings just go around the ankle, these will be easy to wear. The lower heels make them super comfy too. You can choose open toe, close toe, or thong style. I love how with this style you can show off a whole lotta foot or just a little bit based on the size of the strings and straps. I would pair these with pants, shorts, skirts or dresses. These are a nice choice for your casual summer style and at these price points, you can pick up a couple of pairs.

Do you like the tie up style? The pair from Old Navy is my fave!

Enjoy your weekend!

Chunky Heels For Spring

March 4, 2016 by robincharmagne 10 Comments

block-those-stilettos-robincharmagne

Happy Friday,
Chunky Heels are our friends. Spring is just a few days away and we will be rocking freshly manicured feet in strappy heels. Don’t get me wrong, I love a sexy stiletto but my feet, not so much. Stilettos are sexy and elongate the leg, but the effects of wearing a high heel can be brutal. The angle of a high heel can create bunions and hammertoes and puts extra stress on the back and knees, ouch! Chunky heels to the rescue. This Spring you can still rock a sexy sandal that loves your feet. Take a peek…

You can have comfort and style in a chunky heel!

Click To Tweet

Cute and comfy works every time. You can still get that height and sexy look with embellishments like straps, buckles and strings. Yes, string-up styles will still be popular for the next season. A chunky heel pairs perfectly with a denim dress, shorts, or culottes. A good choice for a day party, a night at a rooftop bar, if you’re in The A, checkout my fave, a casual lunch or a dressy dinner. We have to be kind to our feet and this heel is a fabulous option with loads of style.

Are you rocking chunky heels this spring?

Fringe Benefits

September 16, 2015 by robincharmagne 10 Comments

Hey,
The weather is getting cooler in The A, which is putting me in the mood to start looking for booties. Last Winter I went a little crazy with the boots, especially the tall boots but I feel like my tall boot game is on point. So I was thinking there is no way you, I mean us, can escape the Fall/Winter fashion season without snagging a pair of booties with some fringe details. And, let’s shop without spending a whole bunch of coins, unless you like spending coin – nothing wrong with that either. I hand-picked 6 booties, one in the high-end price range and one in the super affordable price range for each style.

These styles are very similar, but with different price points. As you begin shopping for the cold weather season, you will find fringe in all aspects of fashion. A bootie is a good way to try the trend if you don’t want to commit to say a jacket or a dress with fringe details. To avoid the cowgirl look, sprinkle in the fringe as an accent or if you do go bold with this trend, rock one item in fringe, don’t over trend, i.e. fringe dress, fringe bag, fringe booties. That’s a bit much.

Which fringe style is your fave? I love a wedge!

Tropical Fun – OOTD #59

May 27, 2015 by robincharmagne 18 Comments

robincharmagne-wearing-fringe-kimono
Hello there,
Yesterday was not bad at all. That first day back from a holiday is usually very busy, but it was rather quiet. I mentioned I really didn’t do a whole lot over the weekend, but I wasn’t a total couch potato and wore today’s OOTD on Saturday. Traditionally, the Memorial Day weekend begins the vacation travel season which inspired thoughts of traveling to a tropical locale…take a peek!

Purple Peek-a-boo – OOTD #58

May 20, 2015 by robincharmagne 20 Comments

Hi Pretties,
Mid-week, let the countdown to the weekend begin. I know I’m always eagerly anticipating the weekend, but isn’t everyone? By Wednesday, the weekend is just peeking around the corner. Speaking of peeking, I got the purple peek-a-boo look going today in this OOTD. I didn’t realize my hair was blocking my eye for like 99% of the pictures. And, no I was not going to re-take all of them again, so we are rocking with these snaps! Take a look…

robincharmagne-wearing-white-jacket
This is a casual outfit I wore for dinner a few weeks back with the lovely ladies of the Real Readers Book Club. We have the best time chatting about the book of course but we love just catching-up on what’s up with the group. We are taking our next meeting on the road and I’m super excited about a road trip. Now, I have had this white blazer for a year and only worn it once here, so yeah I broke the rule and I am wearing white before Memorial Day! I added a simple purple tee and super old boot cut jeans. Boot cut jeans are really my favorite style because they work well for all shapes and sizes. Of course, a darker wash will be more slimming. The mules have a pretty high heel but are surprisingly comfy and I plan to get a lot of wear out of this statement necklace with all the vibrant Spring/Summer colors. I grabbed my birthday purse in purple too!

Are y’all still rocking statement necklaces? I just love them!

Obsessions – March Favorites Haul

April 29, 2015 by robincharmagne 6 Comments

Hello Pretties,
Another haul! Woot Woot! We all have certain things that we buy and try and then they just stick with us. You find yourself always buying these gems over and over again. For today’s haul, I’m not sharing a ton of stuff today but a few things that I am obsessed with these days – yep my obsessions!

Those markers are just a cute way to add some fun to your day. I have yet to use them because they are so cute. Okay, confession time, my biggest obsession is personalized goodies. I just can’t get enough of anything with an “R” on it. Luckily for me, my family and friends know this and they shower me with unique things all with the letter R. Tassels, that’s another preoccupation. A tassel adds so much class to anything but I love it most on handbags. I would guess that a large majority of my handbags have a tassel on them. Speaking of handbags, I admit I’m addicted. I love them in all shapes, sizes, textures, and of course brands. Henri Bendel is an amazing luxury brand with a nice range of products from handbags to jewelry to travel goods. This bag is everything with a lot of practicality in the fabric, a sturdy yet fashionable nylon. It also has great pockets on the outside and a bigger pocket on the inside. The details like the multi-straps and the little lock really take this bag up a notch. Of course, I’ll be looking for a nice tassel to add to this bag.

Okay, fess up, what are you obsessed with?

6 Vacation Ready Sandals Under $100

April 8, 2015 by robincharmagne 2 Comments

flat black-sandals
Hello pretties,
I’ve had such a crazy week, but I am still in productivity mode and getting a ton of things done around the house and getting ready for the first mini vacation of the season. Totally derailed my OOTD photo shoot for today, which is still on the to-do list. Do y’all make lists? So helpful. Lots to get ready since we are changing seasons and I have to actually pull out the Spring/Summer clothes, handbags, and shoes for vacation. For the warm weather trips, I always take a pair of flat sandals, in black, that will go with errythang. A flat sandal is much better than schlepping around in a flip-flop, provides better support and looks cute with most outfits. I’ve handpicked 6 good choices from some of our favorite brands!

All this cuteness for under $100 bucks. I set the price point at $100 because nothing will kill a vacation than a broken strap. Invest in a good vacation sandal and enjoy your R&R time. Besides you can take these on all your trips. The strappy, gladiator style sandal is very popular and versatile. You can choose a style with or without a thong between the toes. Some folks do not like the feel of the thong but I haven’t had any problems with discomfort. But if that is a problem, bypass that style and choose one of the other cuties without that feature.

Do you have a vacation shoe you pack every trip? Of course I will be taking my flip-flops too!
