Hello Pretty Ones,
Did you have a good weekend? I sure hope so! I had a blast hanging out in the Blue Ridge Mountains with a bunch of girlfriends. The “cabin trip” as we fondly call it is our almost annual event where we pack up and head for the mountains with no agenda except, talk, laugh, eat, sleep, repeat. These ladies are very dear friends that I’ve known for 10+ years and we take time out to catch-up and relax. The mountains provide a great back drop for chillaxin, one of my favorite pastimes.

The fall foliage was really beautiful and the setting serene and peaceful. I had some fun firsts on this trip – roasting marshmallows and playing Scattergories. Two thumbs up for both. But the biggest first was not using my cellphone for a whole weekend! Yep, unplugged with no cellphone service so – no calls, texts, or posts to Facebook or Instagram. Unplugged! I admit for the first few hours, I really missed my cellphone but not having it allowed me to focus more on fellowship than on status updates and photo opps. It would be a good exercise to unplug on a regular basis and use that time to nurture and strengthen all of my relationships. Seriously thinking about unplugging at least once a quarter! I’m recharged and refreshed ready for the start of the holiday season and another work week. Blessed and Thankful!
Have you ever just unplugged from all technology? Or would even do it?

Hi Pretties,
Happy Friday to ya’! It’s official, the holiday season has begun! But wait, before the hustle and bustle begins, now would be a good time for a getaway, I prefer scenic mountain towns. A quick weekend trip is just the ticket to rest the body, relax the mind, and recharge the spirit. Yeah I know it’s cliché but a few weeks from now when you’re basting the turkey, untangling Christmas lights and wrapping gifts, you’ll thank me! Today’s Friday Faves are essentials for chillaxin on a mountain retreat.
Be sure to enter the first Holiday Giveaway with Rafflecopter!
Alright lovelies, pack up the car and head to the mountains! Have a great weekend!

Hi Pretties,
Can you believe we are almost to the weekend? I guess having a day off in the week makes it feel like the week is flying by! One of the things I love about blogging is discovering and following talented bloggers and today I’m featuring three of my favorite bloggers. First up, Molly from Still Being Molly.
I adore this blogger because she is so down to earth and hilarious. She is not a woman afraid to laugh at herself and truly enjoys life. I admire her willingness to openly speak about her faith. I would call Molly a lifestyle blogger because she talks about everything from her new baby, to her love of Chipotle, and the latest fashion trends! One consistent fashion trend on her blog, scarves. She is the Queen of Scarves. Her words are so encouraging and heartfelt, checkout my favorite post here.
Next up, Amberly from A Slice of Glam.

Her blog title says it all, this lady is glam, with her classic, yet effortless style. She is the epitome of a young professional making her mark on the world. Amberly is in the lifestyle category as well, and blogs about everything from beauty advice, to travel suggestions, and beautiful home decor. Her style inspiration posts are my go-to resources, this post on airport style is perfect. Checkout my favorite post here that showcases her glamorous sense of style and design.
And meet Victoria from VMAC&Cheese

I enjoy reading Victoria’s blog because it is in a word – beautiful. Her post layouts, graphics and photography are eye-catching. Her writing style is candid and humorous. As a lifestyle blogger, you’ll read everything from recipes, to book recommendations, and informative blogging tips. Victoria’s career started in culinary and her food posts are mouthwatering. Victoria is a great example of how to turn a passion into a business. Read my favorite post here.
Take a moment to visit these lovely ladies, you won’t be disappointed!

Helllooo Pretties,
I’m so excited about today’s special OOTD. What’s special you say? In just 3 days, robincharmagne turns 1!! Woohoo, can you believe it, one year of blogging and I still love it. I appreciate and adore every one of you for your support. In honor of this momentous occasion, I dressed up, that’s right no jeans!

Blogoversary Outfit Details:
Peplum (HSN) – here
Skirt(old) – similar here
Shoes (T.J. Maxx) – sold here too
Bag (old) – similar here
Earrings/Bracelet – my own (very old)
If you follow me on Pinterest, you know I love peplum. The pearl and sequin detail in this top is so very feminine and girly and at under 50 bucks it was a fashion do! Every woman needs a pencil skirt in her wardrobe – slimming and sexy. I like comfy heels and these fit the bill with the t-strap detail. A simple, yet sleek satin clutch is just enough to complement the detail of the peplum. And, dainty, ladylike earrings and bracelet to finish off my blogoversary look.
On to the good stuff. I am so awesomely thrilled to be celebrating the first blogoversary this Saturday. I have some very pretty goodies for you in a special giveaway to say THANK YOU for your support!! One lucky winner will receive a goodie box of some of my favorite things. The goodie box includes, a beautiful beaded bracelet set from FaithWear, aromatic handmade candles from TBC Candles, and two special note-cards from the lovely photography of Beatrice Clay. Ohhhhh I’m excited for one of you lovely readers. Enter using the Rafflecopter below!

Hello pretties,
Hope everyone’s week is starting out great! Today I’m sharing something fun I did last month – a photo challenge. The challenge is sponsored by Chantell at Fat Mum Slim, an awesome blogger from Australia. Based on the prompt for the day, a pic is submitted to Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. I chose Instagram, check it out here. This challenge was fun and got my creative juices flowing.
I like putting my own spin on the prompts, anything goes! You can still join the April Challenge – here. Have you done a photo challenge?

Hello Pretties,
Guess who’s on Instagram , a fun and free social media tool to share pictures of the pretty things you see everyday!

Snap your photos using a mobile phone and then using filters give your photos a different look and feel, and then easily upload to other social media tools, such as Facebook and Twitter. And, like Facebook and Twitter, follow your friends, family and other cool folks on Instagram . Also, you can add #hashtags to photos, for example, I might add #robincharmagne or #fashion to my photos. But really you can add any hashtag you like.
So now what to do with all these photos? Printstagram is a photo service that turns your Instagram photos into mini books, stickers, posters, tiny books – my favorite, and of course photos, all for between $10-25 bucks. A steal for some great gift ideas.

1-mini book, 2-stickers, 3-posters, 4-tiny book
Follow my Prettygrams on Instagram . And, check me out, I’m a Fresh Fashionista over at Glowkouture.
Have a wonderful weekend!
