Hello pretties,
It’s Wednesday, but I’ve been a bit under the weather so no OOTD today. But, I have had so much fun with the photo-shoots. I was fortunate enough to connect with a really good photographer, Sanniyah Sloan. She has taught me about light and angles and the elements that make a good picture. But as a model, there are some things you need to bring to make the photo-shoot go smoothly.

Must-Haves

1 – A hand-held mirror with magnification is a must have. With the lighting, wind, etc, you will want to check your makeup and hair before the shooting starts.

2 – My skin is like the desert. No matter how much lotion or vaseline I apply before the shoot, by the time I get to the location, my feet especially and arms are dry and ashy. Make sure you have your favorite brands on hand.

3 – The perfect shooting time is early morning, right after sun rise. Even on a clear day, there can be wind, have some bobby pins ready to pin hair back or hold hair in place, unless you are going for that Beyonce wind-blown look.

4 – Drop in some safety pins for a hem that becomes undone, or if a blouse isn’t closing just right or even to hold a necklace in place. These little babies are a life saver.

5 – Props make the photos more captivating, so grab your sunglasses, cell phone, newspaper flowers, food, or any item that adds interest.

These are the staples that I take each week, all tucked in a cute tote. Make sure your shoot goes well and you’re ready for any mishaps with these goodies.
