Oh gosh, what a week we’ve had in The A. But y’all know regardless of what happens, Atlantans will Rise Up! The countless stories of random acts of kindness and generosity demonstrated across this city, make me proud to be an Atlantan. Yeah it was a mess, but folks really helped each other get through a bad situation.

Hello, it’s Snowmaggedon here in Atlanta. Yesterday was a total mess with the kiddos stranded at school and the parents stranded on the highway. Most of my friends and family are home safe and sound but lots of residents of The A are still out there, prayers spoken! At least when the snow melts, we’ll have the epic sports battle between the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos to look forward to on Sunday. Even if you aren’t a sports chick, I am not, I still love watching Superbowl 48. The Broncos are favored to win so I’m cheering for Seattle. If I were going to the game, I wouldn’t schlep out in jeans and a jersey, I’d sass it up a bit. Today’s OOTD is my take on a Sassy Seattle outfit! Last year, I posted about Pantone here and ways to pair it with other spring colors for your fashion and home decor. This year’s Pantone Color of the Year is Radiant Orchard, a beautiful shade in the purple family. This color is very versatile with so many variations from soft pastel purple to a deep orchid. Perfect for any skin tone. My interpretation leans toward the lighter end of the spectrum, the pastel side. Scanning the closet, not too much purpley (yep made up word) if any, things in my wardrobe. Two color options to experiment with, pairing it with red for the Winter and pink for the Spring. And, it’s not limited to fashion, sprinkle this color in your home decor and beauty too!! I am enamored with Radiant Orchid! It’s one of those colors that can be very feminine but super strong too in deeper tones, endless options. If you just want to dip your toe in Radiant Orchid, try it in an accessory, like shoes or earrings.

Now I know you just finished mega Christmas 2013 shopping, but let’s get ready for Christmas 2014. As much as I like giving cool gifts, it’s so much better when gifting a good deal, so I shop sample sale sites! Today I’m running down a sample of some of my favorite sample sales sites for fashion, home decor, and even travel. You’ll need to apply for membership to receive the daily notification of the upcoming sales (click on the links above). If you like designer goods, sample sale sites are just the ticket. My most favorite site is Beyond The Rack where you’ll find all brands from Coach to Hermes to Cuisinart, a real good variety of brands. Two negatives to these sites is the shipping costs which can be a beast so watch for specials on shipping and the limited number of sales for plus-size fashions; on the positive side, finding new brands rocks and your savings can be as high as 80% for some items. That’s a deal. Start now and take advantage of some great deals all year-long.

Happy Thanksgiving Eve Pretties,
I’m so ready for the holiday and some time off. I’ll be chillaxn on tomorrow and then up and out early for some Black Friday Fun! Today’s OOTD is denim on denim. Another easy breezy outfit for Thanksgiving. There aren’t any hard and fast rules for denim on denim, but it works best when the denim is in different shades. I’ve paired them with some cool waterproof suede boots, love the poms poms. I liked the striped outfit last OOTD but this is so comfortable, I think this pick wins!
