5 Ways To Get Ready For Cuddle Season

November 15, 2016 by robincharmagne Leave a Comment

cuddle-time-robincharmagne

Cuddle time is here, but you would not know it because the high for today is near the 80’s in The A today. But it is coming so let’s get ready for a true Netflix and Chill nights! Here are 5 ways to get you and your home ready!

1 – Nothing is better than walking into a well scented room. Get your home smelling good with cinnamon candles or fill a pretty dish with potpourri.

2 – Cuddling requires a pretty throw for your couch or sectional. You and your special someone will be nice and cozy.

3 – Bring the outside in. Gather up some leaves, pine-cones or nuts to create that fall feel indoors. Layer in a pretty vase to add to the ambiance.

4- S’mores are the perfect cuddling snack. Have fun building and sharing this yummy treat.

5 – Plaid pjs scream fall and are super soft for getting up close and personal.

I do hope the air starts to get crisp so we have stay indoors to reconnect. What movie would you recommend for an evening of cuddling?

Fall Wreath – DIY

October 25, 2016 by robincharmagne 6 Comments

fall-initial-wreath-on-robincharmagne

Hello pretties,
There is a Fall nip in the air here in The A so I thought it was a good time for some seasonal decorating. Adding a decor feature to the front door is a good way to enhance your home’s exterior. Take a peek…

Start with a wreath shell, which can be metal or twig, or even styrofoam

Select fall theme garland which could be just leaves or include some decorative items such as berries or nuts

Supplies

Wreath shell
Seasonal garland
Decorative picks
Extra decorative items
Ribbon

This project was inspired by @faithnista and was not hard at all. I was lucky to get all the supplies at Hobby Lobby for 40% off during a fab sale except the “R” which I purchased last season. Y’all know my DIYs are 15 minutes or less, so it took no time to put this wreath together. I love the way it turned out and since it doesn’t scream Halloween or Thanksgiving, my front door will be dressed up for several weeks. I am already thinking of ideas for a Christmas holiday door.

Do you decorate your front door for the season or a holiday?

Fur Baby – More Or Less

October 18, 2016 by robincharmagne 4 Comments

fur-chair-robincharmagne
Hi Pretties,
Fur Chairs are all the rage right now. A warm seat as the temps begin to drop! This chair is a modern luxe look in gold and sheepskin. Fur might ring memories of furry dice; but it can really add texture to an otherwise flat space.

CHAIR 1//CHAIR 2

Both chairs are pricey but one will set you back just a bit less. When you really want to add something special to your space, add a pretty fur baby like this chair. Are you adding fur to your decor?

Fall Home Decor Accents

September 27, 2016 by robincharmagne 8 Comments

fall-accents-on-robincharmagne

Hello pretties,
Fall? Well it doesn’t feel like Fall just yet in The A. Mild temps and sunny days are okay by me. But you can still add some accents to make your home feel more like Fall. Last post we talked about pillows and today I hand picked other types of accents for this season, take a peek…

Love the variety of Fall themes – pumpkins, leaves, pine-cones and nuts are just a few choices. And don’t limit the sprucing up to just the living room or a den. It is perfectly OK to add accents to the kitchen, dining room, or a bedroom. Fall hand towels in the bath are really cute too. To add interest, pick an accent with texture like an iron piece or burlap. Also, experiment with color – yellows, browns, oranges, burgundys, greens, even a black are good choices. These goodies are priced from $6 to $60 bucks, very affordable.

What colors put you in a Fall frame of mind?

Pillow Talk – Fall Home Decor

September 13, 2016 by robincharmagne 4 Comments

pillows-fall-robincharmagne
Hello,
Pillows, the easy, inexpensive way to update your decor. The first day of Fall is just a few days away so now is a good time to transition your decor to warmer, fall tones and pillows are great transition pieces. I handpicked some pretty choices in brown, orange and even a black choice.

Pillows add color to your space, but they also add texture with fabric or design. If you are worried about the space being too “themey” just add one pillow in fall tones. Then, from that pillow, pull a few colors for solid color accent pillows. And, don’t relegate them to the sofa or couch, you can add to chairs as well, or stack a bunch on the fireplace for additional seating. These options range from $20 to $100, something for every budget.

Will you transition your home decor for Fall or wait until Christmas to doll it up?

Ten Tools For Closet Organization

January 19, 2016 by robincharmagne 12 Comments

closet-organization-on-robincharmagne

Hello,
Back to work today after a couple days off, feeling refreshed. And, realizing January is a great month to refresh things around the house. First stop, reorganization of a small closet in my office/den. I seriously cringe every time I open the door, afraid something will fall on my head or that I can’t find what I’m looking for anyway – so scary. It is actually a catchall for all kinds of stuff – paper/crafts/electronics/books/stationery/gift bags and anything else that doesn’t have a home. Take a peek…
