Hello pretties,
I am a tad bit late on part two of this review. But, I posted here about my first Stitch Fix box and I wanted to share the other two pieces I received – a maxi dress and a cardigan. Take a peek…
The maxi dress and the cardigan
Geometric pattern maxi – denim jacket not included
The maxi dress was actually very pretty in a bright blue and yellow geometric pattern. My main issue was the sleeves, not a fan of sleeveless because, real talk my arms need some work. I also did not care too much for the wide band which I thought put a big red X on my mid section. If these are your issues as well, add a denim jacket to cover the arms and to give a longer, more lean look. And, the dress was way too long and would have required some alteration.
I don’t think so…
The cardigan just was not my style. The color was okay but the curved hem made the cardigan hang in a weird way. I may have liked it more had the style been more drapey or flowy and a bit longer. Just did not love it and could not see adding it to my wardrobe.
I did get a 2nd fix and returned all those items as well. My stylist is learning my style and the 3rd fix should more closely match what I wear everyday. I am still excited about this service, it is nice to have someone shop for you without leaving home. You can try Stitch Fix and let me know what you think about your fix.
Did you try it yet?

Hello pretties,
I am so excited to share this post. Stitch Fix, now offers plus-size clothes in sizes 14W-24W and 1X-3X. If you have not heard about Stitch Fix, it is a wardrobe styling service. You tell your stylist what you like by answering a series of style questions and they handpick clothes and accessories for you and then send you a box of goodies. My box had 5 items – top, dress, jeans, cardigan, and a necklace. Checkout my unboxing and styling…
The First Fix
The goodies
Top – gold cold-shoulder
Jeans with distressed details
Perfect look!
This first box was pretty nice. The price range for the items was $50 to $100 dollars and the quality was excellent. But I have to say, I thought it was a bit pricey, for example, the jeans were $78 which is above the price I generally pay for jeans. The top was $44 and the necklace was $34. Now, there were two more items in the box, a maxi dress priced at $78 and a cardigan at $48. Both were good but not great. The shape of the cardigan was not attractive on me and the maxi was way too long and showed my arms – not my best feature.
Passing on the maxi and the cardigan
Although I loved this outfit, I opted to return this fix which is super easy with a prepaid envelope provided.
Just drop off at the Post Office and you’re done
Overall, on the pretty scale, I would say my first fix was Pretty Awesome. The items I liked were on point with my lifestyle – casual and comfy. But the prices were a bit more than I would want to pay. I scheduled a second fix because I am so thrilled the good folks at Stitch Fix value the plus size shopper. I cannot wait to share my next fix with y’all. You can try Stitch Fix and let me know what you think.
Has anyone tried Stitch Fix?

Hello pretties,
Sheer fabric on anything always grabs my attention. So when my bae Eloquii had a fantastic sale, I snagged a bunch of cute tops (haul coming soon) including this beauty. And, totally in love with these distressed edge jeans also from Eloquii, take a peek…

Hello Pretties,
I have been gone soooo long and I am overjoyed to be back to blogging. I missed interacting with y’all my lovely readers and sharing content that educates and elevates your life and style. But y’all I needed a break to re-group and get my mind right.
Going into my 5th year of blogging, I needed to gain clarity about this little ol’ blog and all the other projects on my plate. I realized to accomplish all the things keeping me up at night, I needed to develop a new mentality – the hustle mindset. Who knows more about the hustle than Myleik Teele. Yes she is that favorite, smart lil’ cousin who just has “it.” When she snapped (Snapchat) that The Hustler Manifesto journal was on pre-order last year, I snagged it quick, fast, and in a hurry.
In my comfy lounge wear, I curled up on the couch and started devouring the gems she drops in this journal about life and entrepreneurship.
Man, they didn’t teach me any of this in 12 years of school, 4 years of college and 2 years of grad school. You know, the unwritten rules that often women and people of color are not privy to in business. The things nobody is honest about cause everybody wants to keep the secret sauce to themselves. Myleik is not necessarily an open book, but she clearly wants everyone to win at life and entrepreneurship and that is refreshing.
1 – Expand your circle to include folks that are better at some stuff than you
2 – Do what is right no matter who is or isn’t watching
3 – You are not what happened to you in the past, don’t let it hinder you
My head is much more clear now and I have a plan of tangible action steps to blog about topics that are useful and excel in some other ventures. Oh, can I tell you how comfy I was soaking up all this knowledge in lounge wear and sipping on some tea in a super cute Rae Dunn mug, another creative entrepreneur. So soft and warm and just what I needed to sit on the couch for hours planning world dominance…I’m kidding.
How do you reset? Do you own this journal?

Hello pretties,
Hope y’all had a fabulous holiday! Last OOTD of the year is a roundup of some of my favorite “get-ups” as my Dad used to say. So much fun this year working with GDemeritte Photography! We are styling some cool outfit ideas for 2017. I wore more dresses this year and definitely continuing into 2017. Denim of course ruled the robincharmagne runway and yes, more denim to come. Now, my shoe game is minor league, kicking it up a notch next year with more color and more heels. Aannnd, I had 5 hairstyles this year…LOL Oh the fun of trying even more hairstyles.

That blue lace dress is still one of my all-time faves, so lady-like and sweet! What’s your fave?

Hello pretties,
Booties inspired this whole outfit. I ordered these from Ashley Stewart and was pleasantly surprised to see the red and blue shoestrings, so cute. This OOTD is all about no fuss, all fringe, easy casual dressing with two pieces right from my closet. The poncho is old and y’all know the bubblenecklaces trend was huge. I have them in every color and this one matched the shoestrings perfectly. Take a peek…
I like Fall and Winter weather, but I do not like to wear coats. Ponchos are a stylish and warm alternative to a coat or jacket. This poncho is in a good weight wool with my favorite, fringe details. I styled this without any layering pieces, no camisole, t-shirt, or turtle neck and didn’t feel a bit cold on what was a blustery shooting day. The bottoms are just denim jeggings which feel like pjs for real. And, the black wedge heel hiking boots. This is a super quick outfit when you get that last minute brunch invite, holiday shopping trip, or tree trimming party.
What past trend are you still rocking?
