Friday Faves – 39 For The Snuggle Bunnies

January 24, 2014 by robincharmagne 2 Comments

winter nights, cold weather, relationships

flannel pjs//cute mugs//tasty hot chocolate and marshmallows//warm blanket
//smooth tune –let’s get closer

Happy Friday! It is fa-reezing in The A and what better way to while away a cold night than cuddling with your snuggle bunny. Today’s Friday Faves are some goodies for a cold winter’s night. I actually like cold weather and I am truly content to stay in watching movies, sipping on something good and chillaxing. As long as there’s milk and bread, I’m good. And if this cold weather brings some snow, that’s cool too. A beautiful blanket of snow is so pretty for a day or two, when not accompanied by a ton of ice. Ice shuts this city down…LOL. The colder the weather, the better for the snuggle bunnies. Is it cold where you live? Are you snuggling?

Have a lovely weekend and come back tomorrow for a nice surprise!

Welcome back! It’s good to be back to the blog after a nice holiday break. I had a blast spending much-needed fun time with family and friends and I hope you lovelies did too. Now I know you just finished mega Christmas 2013 shopping, but let’s get ready for Christmas 2014. As much as I like giving cool gifts, it’s so much better when gifting a good deal, so I shop sample sale sites! Today I’m running down a sample of some of my favorite sample sales sites for fashion, home decor, and even travel. You’ll need to apply for membership to receive the daily notification of the upcoming sales (click on the links above). If you like designer goods, sample sale sites are just the ticket. My most favorite site is Beyond The Rack where you’ll find all brands from Coach to Hermes to Cuisinart, a real good variety of brands. Two negatives to these sites is the shipping costs which can be a beast so watch for specials on shipping and the limited number of sales for plus-size fashions; on the positive side, finding new brands rocks and your savings can be as high as 80% for some items. That’s a deal. Start now and take advantage of some great deals all year-long.

Do you shop sample sale sites? If so, what’s your favorite?

Fall Finale

October 29, 2013 by robincharmagne Leave a Comment

Hello Pretty Ones,
Have y’all noticed the department stores have Christmas decoration out already? I’m trying hard not to buy anything, especially since I haven’t seen any sales or good deals but it’s getting harder…LOL. Especially the unique Santa figures I’ve seen lately in rich velvet and fur, I really want to buy one. It’s nice to have a new Santa for the collection each season. Sooo I’m focusing on finishing fall decor so I can start working on Christmas!

I love updating for holidays, it really makes the house feel very warm and inviting and signals the start of the holiday season. Happy to have the fall decorating done! The mantle is still naked because I couldn’t figure out how to decorate around the dang television, really thinking about maybe it’s time for a re-do on the living room layout. I hope you are sprinkling some fall love around your home, next up Christmas decorating, woohoo!

I know some folks go all out for holidays like July 4th and Halloween. What’s your favorite decorating holiday?

Fancy Fall Tabletops

October 22, 2013 by robincharmagne 2 Comments

Hey Pretties,
It’s Tabletop Tuesday, yeah I made that up. Last Tuesday we talked about decking out your mantel for the fall season so today I’m posting some ideas for your fall dining table. Of course Houzz is the source for decorating ideas in a variety of settings.

Modern Dining Room by Phoenix Interior Designers & Decorators FOCAL POINT STYLING
Traditional Dining Room
Traditional Spaces

Traditional Spaces by Detroit Interior Designers & Decorators The Yellow Cape Cod
Contemporary Dining Room by Phoenix Interior Designers & Decorators FOCAL POINT STYLING

I’m partial to a table decorated to the max which means a complete table setting with all the trimmings – dinnerware, glassware, utensils and linens. Having a defined color palette makes it easy to coordinate all the components of the table settings. Some fall color suggestions – green, orange, brown, gold, and yellow. But you could step outside of the traditional fall palette and be a bit more adventurous like vignette number 6 in black, white and paprika. Also, white dinnerware works well for any color palette and you can re-use it for other holiday decorating.

I like the modern feel and dark colors of number 1 and the bold pop of color in number 6. Do you have a favorite vignette?

A New Comfort Zone

July 8, 2013 by robincharmagne Leave a Comment

Hello pretty ones,
Well, here we are at the start of another work week. I’m not complaining though – the weekend was awesome! New experiences and learning to get out of my comfort zone!

On Friday, rain-checked lunch with one friend, but I got hungry and ended up lunching with another friend with a very picky palate. But she does eat Chinese, so I stepped out of my comfort zone(sweet and sour chicken) always and had the special, Kung Pao chicken, at Doc Chey's, delish! I spotted these wine bottles in Publix and thought, yes we should "Be" all 3

On Friday, rain-checked lunch with one friend, but I got hungry and ended up lunching with another friend, who has a very picky palate. She picked Chinese at Doc Chey’s Noodle House. I hadn’t heard of it and I made up my mind, I’m getting my usual sweet and sour chicken so I won’t be hungry and eating something I don’t like. But once there, it was all good. Cute little hole in the wall joint that is a neighborhood gem. I passed on the sweet and sour chicken and had the special, Kung Pao chicken, delish!
Oh, I spotted these wine bottles in Publix and thought; yes, we should “Be” all 3 of these as often as possible!

Maxwell performed at Chastain Park Amphitheater here in the A on Saturday night. It rained on and off all day, but at show time, the skies were all clear. I was hyped to use my picnic backpack, in pink and green of course. We got some yummy goodies including wine in a box, which wasn't bad at all. All I can say is Maxwell is some kinda sexy, loved the show.

A couple of months back, a new friend extended an invite to see Maxwell perform at Chastain Park Amphitheater here in The A. At first, I was like Maxwell? I’m an R&B and Hip-hop kinda girl and I was thinking I’d be sleep after the first song! But I accepted the invite and started menu and wardrobe planning! On Saturday, it rained on and off all day, but at show time, the skies were all clear. I love Chastain Park and I was hyped about using my pink and green picnic backpack, which we filled up with some yummy goodies including wine in a box, which wasn’t bad at all. Taking pics, at night and outdoors was tricky, but I captured a few from the jumbo screens. All I can say is Maxwell is all kinds of sexy and did not disappoint. The show was jumping from start to finish, loved it. He definitely has a new fan!

I was totally worn out from Saturday and yep this was me all day Sunday!

Yep this was me all day Sunday! On the computer blog planning for the next 6 months, researching, writing, and photos, I heart blogging!

This was a weekend of developing a new comfort zone, new food, new music and new friends, gotta love it!

JcPenney – Home Sweet Home

July 2, 2013 by robincharmagne 8 Comments

Hi Pretties,
It’s a short week so I hope everyone is making the most of these 3 work days! Last week, I blogged about sprucing up my bedroom, first stop, my local JcPenney store for a bit of inspiration. I was pleasantly surprised to see the home department revamped with some very cool brands, like Bodum, Jonathan Adler, Michael Graves, Martha Stewart, Pantone, and Ordning & Reda (pic heavy post).

These collections are colorful, vibrant, and modern, but a bit quirky too! The price points vary from about $5 bucks up to over $1000 bucks. Something for every budget! And there’s a great sale going on with an extra 10% off online purchases.

Oh, back to the bedding, the Happy Chic by Jonathan Adler collection was a perfect combination of modern and classic – my faves, here, here and here.

I’m really loving the green set! Will you checkout the new JcPenney Home?
