OOTDs- OOTD #114

January 9, 2018 by robincharmagne 4 Comments

Hello pretties,
I know Gianne, my talented photographer is going to get me!! But, I am taking the OOTD back to where it started, this white wall in my living room and my non fancy camera. This sweatshirt really reminded me of how far I have come with my OOTDs. From the living room wall, to the back yard, to my first “real” photographer, to shooting with Gianne. What a ride! This OOTD was just me fooling around in the living room, take a peek…

She think she sexy…she is!!!

I posted here about all the elements of photoshoot. It is a lot harder than it looks but so much fun. This sweatshirt was made for fashion bloggers and I just could not pass it up. Of course the glittery letters sealed the deal for me. You can wear this sweatshirt alone or layer with a crisp white shirt. I paired it with distressed boyfriend jeans, a funky necklace in silvertone, small leather backpack, and edgy stud boots.

Shop The Look

My word of the year is increase so look for more fashion related posts. Gianne and I want to scout new and unique locations around The A for more fashion shoots. Seeing the progression from living room to professional photographer is encouraging, growth is good.

What are you looking to increase in 2018?

More Floral Love – Booties And Shoes

October 4, 2017 by robincharmagne 4 Comments

Hello pretties,
The love affair with florals is real. This trend is so hot this season in all aspects of fashion. But, it can be overwhelming to be completely decked out in roses, chrysanthemums, tulips, peonies, and daises, so as I always say, try the trend in small doses. The best way to do that is with shoes – boots, booties, sneakers or mules! Today, I hand-picked some super cute options all less than $100.

For as little as $23 bucks, you can dip not just your toe, but your entire foot in this trend with any one of these affordable options. My favorite are the Wild Diva mules with the tassels for style and comfort. Dress them down with your favorite pair of jeans or dress them up with a midi skirt, bodysuit and a biker jacket. Now that’s a cute outfit!

Is the floral trend your bouquet or a bunch of weeds? Definitely my bouquet!

15 Wide Calf Boots Under $100

November 4, 2015 by robincharmagne 8 Comments

wide-calf-boots-robincharmagne
Hello,
Daylight Savings Time has ended and we are now in full cold weather season. It is finally time to pull out those boots, but if you are anything like me, you struggle with finding stylish boots that fit wide calves. Most boots styles fit calf sizes 14 to 15 inches but there are many ladies who have larger calves in the range of 17 to 20 inches. Not sure how to determine your calf size? It is super easy, just grab a tape measure- not the metal kind and a chair. Sit in the chair and measure your calf at its widest point, that number is your calf size. Be sure to measure both legs, sometimes one leg is slightly larger than the other leg. I hand-picked 15 wide calf boots in a variety of styles.

Most retailers now carry wide-calf boots so there is no need to settle for a basic boring boot. These boots feature details like buckles, suede, and quilting, in heels, flats and wedges. And at under $100 you could easily snag more than one pair.

What is your favorite boot style? I love riding boots, always a classic!

Superbowl, Seahawks, Broncos

Hello, it’s Snowmaggedon here in Atlanta. Yesterday was a total mess with the kiddos stranded at school and the parents stranded on the highway. Most of my friends and family are home safe and sound but lots of residents of The A are still out there, prayers spoken! At least when the snow melts, we’ll have the epic sports battle between the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos to look forward to on Sunday. Even if you aren’t a sports chick, I am not, I still love watching Superbowl 48. The Broncos are favored to win so I’m cheering for Seattle. If I were going to the game, I wouldn’t schlep out in jeans and a jersey, I’d sass it up a bit. Today’s OOTD is my take on a Sassy Seattle outfit! Yeah I know Seattle is a laid back town, but hey it’s the Superbowl! This high heel bootie is a good option for the pricey Jimmy Choos and here’s another option for the clutch.

What’s your football fashion OOTD? Who are you cheering for?

And don’t forget, me and some super blogger friends are hosting a Valentine’s Day Giveaway click here for a chance to win $350!

Welcome back! It’s good to be back to the blog after a nice holiday break. I had a blast spending much-needed fun time with family and friends and I hope you lovelies did too. Now I know you just finished mega Christmas 2013 shopping, but let’s get ready for Christmas 2014. As much as I like giving cool gifts, it’s so much better when gifting a good deal, so I shop sample sale sites! Today I’m running down a sample of some of my favorite sample sales sites for fashion, home decor, and even travel. You’ll need to apply for membership to receive the daily notification of the upcoming sales (click on the links above). If you like designer goods, sample sale sites are just the ticket. My most favorite site is Beyond The Rack where you’ll find all brands from Coach to Hermes to Cuisinart, a real good variety of brands. Two negatives to these sites is the shipping costs which can be a beast so watch for specials on shipping and the limited number of sales for plus-size fashions; on the positive side, finding new brands rocks and your savings can be as high as 80% for some items. That’s a deal. Start now and take advantage of some great deals all year-long.

Do you shop sample sale sites? If so, what’s your favorite?

Happy Thanksgiving Eve Pretties,
I’m so ready for the holiday and some time off. I’ll be chillaxn on tomorrow and then up and out early for some Black Friday Fun! Today’s OOTD is denim on denim. Another easy breezy outfit for Thanksgiving. There aren’t any hard and fast rules for denim on denim, but it works best when the denim is in different shades. I’ve paired them with some cool waterproof suede boots, love the poms poms. I liked the striped outfit last OOTD but this is so comfortable, I think this pick wins!

Have you decided on your Thanksgiving Day OOTD?

Have a safe and happy holiday lovelies!

OOTD #31- Stripes!

November 20, 2013 by robincharmagne 10 Comments

stripes_robincharmagne

The Details:
Top (Target) – here
Pants(old) – similar here
Boots(old) – similar here
Jewelry – old, very old

Hi Pretties,
This OOTD was inspired by a recent “Pretty Perspective” on the robincharmagne Facebook page. On the Facebook cover page, I post a new handy dandy fashion tidbit each week. Last week, stripes were in the spotlight. For years, stripes were considered a fashion don’t for plus size women, but I think done correctly stripes work well for any body type. This stripe is wide and runs horizontally which makes the body appear leaner. The v-neck narrows the overall silhouette. The pants are a skinny ponte knit, a very wearable fabric. And the dark solid again makes for a slimmer overall silhouette. Of course boots are still on trend this year. This is a slouchy pair in a suede with the perfect heel height. I can wear these all day and my feet will still love me. And, the jewelry is old. Yes, statement necklaces are all the rage but sometimes with a stronger print such as stripes, simpler is better. I’ll probably re-run this outfit Thanksgiving day!

Do you wear stripes?

OOTD #29 – Black And Blue

Jeans (Macy’s) – here
Boots(old)- similar here
Handbag (T.J. Maxx) – similar here
Bracelets (old) – similar here
Watch (Coach) – similar here
Necklace (old) – similar here

Hey Pretties,
I should have titled this post blurred lines, it’s a bit blurry, bear with me. Like many ladies, I lean toward black a lot in my wardrobe. But this blue sweater called out to me. Love the v-neck and high/low hem, perfect for layering. Adding color can be scary but in small doses adds some spice to an outfit. The blue in this sweater is Mykonos Blue a Pantone Fall Color. Pantone is the organization that selects the color of the year for not only fashion, but across all industries.

Pantone describes this color as “…a bold, meditative blue, for a classic and relaxed fall look.” Describes this layered black and blue fall look perfectly.

OOTD #28 – A Touch Of Camo!

Pants (Old Navy) – here, on sale

CORRECTION: Pants are from Walmart.com. My apologies for the error.
Hello Pretties,
Camouflage is one of my favorite fashion trends. The military began using camouflage as military attire in the early 1900’s. Not just for the outdoorsy crowd, you can find camouflage all over the place in different colors and in unexpected styles. I made this outfit a little more sexy I’ll say by adding the top with the sheer neckline and arms. Now lovelies, wearing head to toe camo will definitely put you in the hunter girl or military maven category but adding it as an accent in a scarf, a top, or cute shoes is a subtle way to wear the camouflage trend.

What fashion trend are you trying this fall season?

Which One Wednesday?

October 23, 2013 by robincharmagne 4 Comments

ankle boots1

Hi Pretties,
It’s Which One Wednesday? I have been on the hunt to snag some cute ankle boots to knock about in on the weekends. I like both of these with the decorative strap detail and the low heel. These babies would be perfect paired with jeans, leggings, or even a cute dress. But because I just want them for weekends and casual wear, the price needs to be under $100. And of course, one of these is way over $100 bucks, one trick – one treat, can you tell which one?

Treat – one
Trick – two
