Hello pretties,
I hope everyone had a great weekend. I have to tell you lovelies, I’m exhausted. Between a heavy workbench and new projects and an ill parent, I’m beat. Hoping for a lighter work week and just a tad bit of downtime to recharge and regroup. But a short trip to the mailbox this weekend made me smile when I spied that pink box from Birchbox. Here’s a peek.

What I Wore- Hair Edition

Hello pretty ones,
It’s Hump Day as they say! Never liked that phrase, so I’ll rephrase and say it’s mid-week, two more days until the weekend! Yeah I know I just came back from vacay, but I swear it feels like a distant memory. Today I’m swapping the OOTD for What I Wore – Hair Edition. This post is inspired by InStyle Mag’s Transformation series where we see our favorite celebs hair transformation over the years. Here’s one of the best, Kerry Washington.

This girl’s cheek bones are the truth, always looking feminine and sexy. How does she do it! I love her many hair transformations but these three really work; highlighting her natural beauty, especially those eyes. Did you know Kerry was a Phi Beta Kappa grad? Beauty and brains, gotta love it! Sometimes it’s so boring to wear the same style over and over so we change our hair for a specific occasion or season. Here’s a peek at my transformations this year!

Hair is an accessory and can make or break an outfit, as you lovelies already know. It’s fun to spice it up from time to time.

Happy Friday Pretties,
Did you lovelies have a wonderful week? I sure hope so. Looking forward to the weekend and my birthday and vacation but first, some Friday Faves just for you!

I hope you are taking time to rest, relax, and reconnect. I feel blessed to be able to combine my birthday and the beach. They go together like cookies and milk, each makes the other one just a bit better!

Brad, Brunch, and Birch Box

Hi pretties,
Happy Monday! The weekend was pretty good. I saw World War Z at my favorite movie spot! It was much better than expected, not so much about zombies as much as how to solve a mystery. Think I am Legend with people. Gotta love Brad Pitt, he’s getting better with age. And Sunday Brunch at a cool spot. I had the French Toast with a side of apple wood bacon, but my brunch bud had the eggs on an English muffin with blue crab and shrimp cake and sauteed spinach. Yeah it looked delish.

And, of course a lovely treat in the mail – Birch Box goodies! The theme for this month’s box is Power Play and the importance of taking control of your beauty routine. The folks at Birch Box collaborated with two actresses from one of my favorite shows, Suits. This summer, I have been patiently waiting for this highly styled, smart, and well written law firm drama to return to cable television. Two of the key characters on the show are, wise cracking “Donna” played by Sarah Rafferty and over-achiever “Rachel” played by Meghan Merkle. These ladies offer up their favorite pick from this month’s collection. Here are this month’s goodies!

Hi pretties,
Did y’all have a lovely weekend? Can you believe the year is half gone? Let’s make the rest of the year memorable. Today I’m blogging about my favorite color , yeah it’s red. Every car I have ever owned has been red, in fact all of my immediate family drives a red car or truck!
