PINCHme Tuesday

June 20, 2017 by robincharmagne 6 Comments

I received products from PINCHme for my review. All opinions are my own!

Hi Pretties,
It is PINCHme Tuesday. Yep pinch me because I received a box full of free products to sample from PINCHme. PINCHme is an easy way to try products from top brands and it is 100% FREE – free goodies and free shipping! I know you are thinking, okay what is the catch? Well, there isn’t any – all you have to do is give your honest opinion on the products you receive. Every month, on Sample Tuesday, new free samples are released on PINCHme.com for members to select. These goodies range from beauty, snacks- my favorite, baby, pet, personal care, cleaning products, and household items – there will be a product you can use or share with family and friends! Once you become a member, you can access special partner offers, exclusive sweepstakes, product review opportunities, and other promotions on the community site. This is a win-win. Take a peek at what I got…

1. Sensodyne® Deep Clean – Jackpot, I already use the family of Sensodyne products, so I know I can trust this brand to perform as expected. If you have sensitve teeth like I do from oral surgery a few years back, then Sensodyne is the product for you.
2. HydralyteTM Effervescent Electrolyte Tablets – I have never heard of electrolyte tablets. The package says these are used to relieve dehydration due to vomiting and diarrhea, fever and heavy sweating. I think this is a good product to have on hand.
3. Bioré® Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub – Oh I’m excited about this one, you know baking soda does everything. This is for combination skin and activates by adding water. This will be included in my Sunday Self Care lineup!
4. Shout® Colorcatcher® Dye-Trapping Sheet – I am skeptical about this one…LOL why do I want to mix my colors and whites in the wash? A sheet is dropped in the laundry and it is designed to”catch” the dye so you can wash all the clothes as once. If you are short on time, maybe you could use this to reduce the number of loads. I am game for a science experiment. I will keep you posted!
5. Gillette® Cool Wave Clear Gel – From the packaging, I could not tell if this is for a man or woman but it smells good. I have used sprays and roll-ons, but never a gel. This is a strong brand so I am expecting good results from this deodorant.
6. Carol’s Daughter® Shampoo + Conditioner – So I won’t use this product at all, only because I do not do my own hair. But this brand is so well respected and there is an awesome story behind its creator Lisa Price.
7. Vagisil® Daily Intimate Wash Odor Block – Um not using this one either. Personal preference.
8. PopCorners Kettle Crispy and Crunchy Popped Corn Chips – My favorite in this box. All I needed to read was 120 calories per bag. This is a perfect snack to feed that salty and crunchy craving. No preservatives and gluten free – guilt free snacking!
9. Olay® Ultra Moisture with Shea Butter Body Wash – This smells delicious! Not a big fan of body washes, but I would try this since it contains shea butter which is fantastic for the skin.

I am so thrilled with this VIP box I received from PINCHme. Join this awesome community and start receiving products to review!

Sunday Self-Care – Monday Musing

June 12, 2017 by robincharmagne 6 Comments

self-care-robincharmagne
Hello pretties,
I have to admit I do not look forward to Mondays. To get me ready for Monday, Sunday evening is for self-care. As women, we take care of everybody else and we are often last or heck not even on the list. After church, brunch, and whatever else you do on Sunday, carve out time to do a few things just for you that support your body, feed your mind, and calm your spirit. Today I have 5 goodies that promote self care and eliminate Monday blues.

Face Cleanser

A good face cleanser is not only refreshing, but a clean face is the basis for all the other products we use on our face. CerVe face cleanser is right out of the drug store so it is wallet friendly. It foams up and is a good all purpose cleanser. Nothing feels better than being fresh faced.

Crochet Pads

I am so excited to share these handmade crochet pads from blogger babe Beckey’s Etsy shop. Made of soft cotton, these pair so well with CerVE or your favorite face cleanser to clean and gently exfoliate. So easy to wash and reuse making them an environmentally friendly, alternative to regular face pads.

Tea

Now you’re ready to relax. A calming tea is a choice to for a quiet Sunday evening. Chamomile is known to help ease the mind and the lavender scent eases anxiety. Make this moment special by using your prettiest teacup.

Candle

To keep the mood going, light this eucalyptus and spearmint candle. Eucalyptus is known to ease exhaustion and reduce mental sluggishness, while spearmint produces a calm and relaxed state. You are getting in the zone.

Journal

All relaxed and chill, use a journal to list out the things you are grateful for in your life. A spirit of gratefulness boosts your immune system and reduces stress, contributing to your overall health. This will surely make you smile.

Now you are all relaxed for a good night’s sleep to awake to a Marvelous Monday. This really helps me get my week off to a good start.

Do you have any Sunday self-care tips?

Chic Happens – OOTD #62

July 1, 2015 by robincharmagne 22 Comments

robincharmagne-wearing-chic-tee
Hi Pretties,
First things first – the No Buy is OVER! Woot-woot, more to come on that challenging yet very rewarding exercise. We are in my favorite month of the year – July, it’s my vacation and birthday month. I’ll describe today’s OOTD as classically chic. As I think back on my 50th year, I am feeling extremely blessed to close to reaching the 51 year mark. But I have to admit, last year I was so happy to have a milestone birthday, but it was daunting thinking I have been on this Earth for 50 dang years and have seen the world evolve from typewriters to smart watches. And, 50 is somewhat odd, you’re not old and you’re not young, in the middle. Still fly enough to be fly and that is what I wanted to convey in this photo shoot, my very first. If you thought 50 was dabomb.com, well 51 will be on “fleek” as they say! HA, can’t believe I used that, take a peek…

Cosmetic Cases

July 11, 2014 by robincharmagne 18 Comments

cosmetic case, cosmetic bag

one//two//three//four//five

Hello,
This week flew by! Not too many weekend plans, except my cousin’s wedding on Sunday. So Saturday will mostly be beauty stuff – hair, mani, and pedi. And, speaking of beauty, I vlogged this week about changing up my beauty routine. With these new beauty goodies, a new cosmetic case is in order. I get a kick out of these cases with the catchy, quirky, sarcastic phrases. The price point for these ranges from $5 up to $43 so they won’t break the bank. These are just big enough to carry all your essential cosmetics.

Do you have a special case for your cosmetics? I’m loving #1!

Enjoy your weekend!

Let’s Go…7 Must Have Travel Beauty Products

June 5, 2014 by robincharmagne 8 Comments

travel beauty products, beauty products, longchamp

Hello,
Travel Day is one of my favorite days of the week. When I first launched this series, we started with passports because I knew in addition to our day trips and weekend getaways, we would travel to some faraway places too. I confess I am not a beauty product expert but airplanes are notoriously dry and not always spic and span. So today I’ve curated 7 must have beauty products perfect for traveling longer distances.

Travel Beauty Products

One – Longchamp is the granddaddy of travel bags and this one is large enough to fit all of these travel beauty goodies
Two – Before you deplane, freshen up with Colgate Wisps – toothpaste, mouthwash, and floss all in one
Three – Keep your face fresh with a good hydrating spray like this travel size MAC Mini-fix
Four – When you’re ready to eat that delicious airline meal, you need hand sanitizer and the Jao brand is made mostly with all natural ingredients
Five – Visine eye drops soothes those tired travel eyes and protects them from the dry air
Six – A tried and true beauty product is Rosebud Salve which is for the lips and hands, especially cuticles
Seven – Planes are a bit nasty, so wipe everything down with Wet Wipes

We’re all set for our long flights – stay tuned! What are some of your travel beauty must haves for a long flight?

5 Things I Use Everyday

April 14, 2014 by robincharmagne 4 Comments

5 Things

Hellooo!
If you’re anything like me, you’re a creature of habit. You have your stuff that you use all the time, your go-to products. Today I’m sharing five things I use everyday.

Coffeemaker– My Morning Blend brews up in less that two minutes
Lotion-This signature scent is so old school and moisturizes without that greasy feeling
Pencil-27 years I’ve used this brand. Makes a nice smooth line and stays sharp so less pulling around the eye
iPod-Keeps me thoroughly entertained with smooth tunes and fun podcasts
Slipper-I work from home so need for cute heels(kinda miss that…NOT), but a good “house shoe” is a must

I’m tempted to use the latest and greatest products and have tried a few other goodies from time to time. But I always come back to these 5 things that are tried and true and never fail. Makes everyday a good day. Interesting thing about the Lancome eyeliner pencil. It was $12.50 when I first started buying it and fast forward to 2014, it’s now almost $30 bucks, but well worth it.

Do you have an everyday favorite?

Go Tribal!

March 21, 2014 by robincharmagne 2 Comments

Tribal-Printdress//nail polish//handbag//sandal//perfume//earrings

Hi,
It’s the 2nd day of Spring and it’s a bit nippy here. Oh but the weekend is going to be sunny and dry so I’m all smiles. Now that Spring is sprung, time for a little retail therapy.

I am totally enamored with tribal prints. Tribal prints were all over Fashion Week runways especially in dresses, in both long and short styles. This skater dress is a nice interpretation of the tribal trend and super cute with a hint of faux leather another strong trend this season. Perfect for brunch with the girls or a hot date night!

Are you trying the tribal trend?

Have a sunny and fun weekend lovelies!

First Day Of Spring!

March 20, 2014 by robincharmagne Leave a Comment

Spring

WooHoo! It’s finally Spring. If you visit robincharmagne often, you know we have had roller coaster weather here in The A. Some days I have the heat on and other days the ceiling fans are whirling. And let’s not forget Snowmageddon or Icepocalypse or whatever unofficial weather term you want to call the polar vortex. It was a mess with stranded motorists all over the city. But there were so many stories of kindness and true Southern hospitality at its best, yep it wasn’t all bad. But guess what today is…the first day of Spring!

I love Spring, it’s just warm enough to get out and really enjoy these longer days. Here are 10 things I plan to do for Spring.

1. Attend the Atlanta Dogwood Festival
2. Get a fresh pedi in a bright pink or fuschia
3. Have a picnic at Piedmont Park- with this cute basket
4. Dine al fresco- The Pinewood is a fave
5. Spring cleaning- organize those statement necklaces and boyfriend watches
6. Decorate Easter eggs-unique ideas from April HGTV magazine
7. Plan Spring Break – sand and sun is calling
8. Rock some open-toe shoes – love the details of these sandals
9. Snag some fresh flowers, especially tulips
10.Get caught in a spring shower-no worries with this cute umbrella

Yep, Spring weather brings us lots of fun indoors and out! What are you doing now that Spring has finally sprung?
