Must Haves – Sunglasses

June 27, 2014 by robincharmagne 6 Comments

Happy Friday,
Gosh this week started out super quiet and then exploded towards the end, so Hey Friday, good to see you! We’re officially in the summer season, time for a must have accessory – sunglasses. I have a round face, the cat-eye sunglass shape works best for my chubby cheeks. The sleek frame narrows the face making it appear a lot smaller. I’ve curated some cute choices all under $50. Now if you like your sunglasses on the higher end, try these goodies here and here.

The weekend will be fairly quiet – on Saturday, meeting with a Financial Advisor, yep just doing this at almost 50 but I’m excited to hear about ways to make my 2nd act financially sound. And Sunday, scratching something fun off of my bucket list, more to come on Monday. Whatever you do, enjoy it!

Hey pretties, it’s the last day to enter the July 4th Star Spangled Giveaway HERE!

Beach Bum

Hello,
If it seems like I’m ready for a beach vacay…I am! I posted about a beautiful beach resort and I think that just put me in the mood to get out of town! Fortunately, vacay is only a few weeks away. This dress screams beach, do you see that palm tree print? No frills – just pull it over your head, slip on ya’ flip flops and shades and be a beach bum! A backpack is perfect for the beach, big enough for a water bottle, camera, and a good book, but still super cute. A beach vacation equals fun which equals easy dressing and simple accessories.

The good thing about living in Georgia is the beach isn’t that far away!

Gifts For The Grad Girl

May 30, 2014 by robincharmagne 4 Comments

graduation gifts for her, graduation

1- Passport holder
2- Writing pen
3- Black pumps
4- Satchel Handbag
5- Wrist Watch

Hello,
Happy Friday pretties! Over the past few weeks I have loved seeing all the graduates – from pre-k to college. It’s a very exciting time! Today I’ve curated some essentials every girl needs as she enters the work world. Be prepared to hit the road at moment’s notice, get a passport! Keep a nice pen in your bag for jotting down quick notes. A black pump works with dresses and suits in any office setting whether conservative like a bank or more creative like a Marketing firm. A good handbag is essential. I love a satchel – big enough to carry a tablet, your wallet, that good pen, phone and a small cosmetic bag. And yes you can use your smart phone, but a good watch is so much more fashion forward. Grab one with a mixed metal band to go with everything.

Grad Extras

A couple of other goodies for the grad. If your insurance company doesn’t offer roadside assistance, sign up for AAA or some other service. No need to be late for that important meeting. Also, join a professional organization for your chosen profession. So if you’re in HR, join the Society for Human Resource Management. In Project Management? Join the Project Management Institute. Great way to network and stay current on the trends in your field.

I’ve graduated 4 times in my life and each one is a treasured memory. For my grad girls, from a woman I am proud to call my Sorority Sister – Maya Angelou. Your words will never be forgotten, rest in sweet peace!

Figure Fixers – Lingerie and Shape wear Fitting Guide – An infographic by the team at Marisota

Hello,
One thing I love to do is people watch, which is really fashion watch. I’ve noticed some good outfits that would be great with the perfect shape ware. This infographic explains which shape wear piece to use based on your body type. Let’s face it ladies, we all have some lumps and bumps we’d like to smooth out while we’re on the way to a healthier body. There is no shame in my game, I definitely use shape wear. It just gives a smoother look which I like.

How do you pretties feel about shape wear? I think it’s a Fashion Do for sure!

cuff bracelets

Hi there!
I am in love with these cuff bracelets cause I love bling. But they can be pretty pricey so I decided to do a quick cuff bracelet DIY!

This DIY was so easy and only took like 10 minutes. My version is a lil less ornate, more casual but you could certainly fill up your cuff with all kinds of bling. The possibilities are endless. I may snag a couple more of these cuffs and bling them out too!

What do you think? To bling or not to bling??

Hey!
The weekend weather was beautiful in The A! It only takes a hint of sunshine to bring folks out – everywhere I went had a crowd! Hey, no complaints here, I remember Icepocalypse! And next weekend won’t be any different because it’s Mother’s Day weekend. But before the festivities begin, you gotta pick up some goodies for Mom. I’m huge fan of personalization and Mark and Graham is a super cool site with loads and loads of great gifts ready for that personal touch! The price points for these goodies are $24 to $109, not too shabby.

Loving the handkerchiefs, so ladylike but still very modern! What’s your fave?

Easy Easter Ensemble

April 18, 2014 by robincharmagne 4 Comments

Happy Friday,
I know what you’re thinking, jeans on Easter? Well, no I’m guest posting over at Glow Kouture Style and have put together a cute Easter Frock, check it out! But after Easter, you need an easy ensemble to throw on for a relaxing Sunday afternoon with the family or friends. Boyfriend jeans are a good foundation for a casual ensemble. Of course, I am in love with peplum which pairs perfectly with the jeans. Easy accessories – stud earrings, basic bangle, and a crossbody, and you’re ready to hit the park or a movie after Easter dinner.

What Easter clothes are you wearing on Sunday? Dressed up or down?

Have a wonderful Easter Sunday!
