Happy Monday and yes to a short week. It has been a minute since I stayed up late watching an awards show, BUT Janet Jackson was receiving a special award last night and I was up until the very end. Janet radiant and gracious! But of course, I tuned in for most of the fashion. The artists that attend the BET Awards are not afraid to take chances with their fashion, no run of the mill designer gowns here. Take a peek at my favorites who expressed their individual style in their own way!
My favorite look of the night, zippers stealing the show on this dress
My 2nd favorite – The jumpsuit, very sexy with the criss-cross straps and embellishments
My 3rd favorite- Only this girl can rock a cape and that hair
My 4th favorite – The colors and print of this dress are so bold and unique
Honorable Mention – Confident enough to rock a pink suit
Style is all about the details and owning the look! Any of these outfits would have been boring except for the details – zippers, embellished fabric, capes, bold fabric, and even color! Loved all of these audacious looks.

Oh yeah Kelly’s dress was very unique and she rocked it!
I was impressed with this award show, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I waited until the end to see Miss Janet too. I was hoping she would sing but I guess we’ll have to wait until she goes on tour.
Out of all these outfits I like the zipper dress the best.
