Happy Monday,
I hope everyone had a super weekend. It has been so cold and rainy here, I spent most of the weekend chillaxin. This time of year has errybody running around doing so many things to get ready for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Folks are shopping, looking at recipes, planning New Year’s Eve outfits, gathering Thanksgiving dinner ware, pulling together Christmas decorations, whew, the list is endless. This is the season for saying yes, in the spirit of the season. I’m no different from y’all, about to be crazy getting deep into the holiday festivities. But there are some things I am not doing, take a read…
Staying on top of house and home. Things are not as organized and tidy as I would like but that is okay. I plan to use my holiday break to get back on track.
Decorating the house for the Fall season. I know, I know hard to believe right. However, this year has been so hectic; I just do not have the energy to pull out all that stuff! I will wait until the end of the month and decorate for Christmas! Bucking tradition and adding this to the holiday decor.
Using my planner as I should be using my planner. I have a ton of sticky notes that I need to transfer to the planner. Less decorating and more planning…LOL I just purchased a new one for 2016 too!
Drinking coffee. For some reason, I have been forgoing my morning cup of joe. I need some new coffee flavors or brands to try. Any yummy suggestions are appreciated!
Christmas shopping. I am so behind this holiday season but I have been compiling a list of what I would like to gift family and friends this year. I added these to my list…hehehe Black Friday is right around the corner!
Not jumping on the Snapchat bandwagon. I am over all these new social media things. Can we just talk to each other like we used to? Instagram is still my favorite social media tool. So pretty and so inspirational.
What are you Not Doing?

Well… we all get busy sometimes and life gets shooken up. I haven’t been going to the gym like usual… I have been running at home on the treadmill, though, when I don’t have time for a workout… so that’s pretty good… I’m not a fan of Snapchat either… I rarely use it. There’s too many social media outlets and apps out there! It’s cray!! I am a die-hard Pinterest user, though!! Lol…
Hope you had a lovely weekend!

Today’s Post: Featuring Alena… Purple Poncho Sweater
Hi Amber, at least you are getting a workout in, that’s great.
Keep on doing you Sis. Slow & steady wins the race. I’m so lazy right now & chillaxing is my thing. Enjoy!!

I know that’s right Neti, no need of stressing yourself out!
Well, let’s see …
I am not getting things done as quickly as I would like! That’s for sure!
You know, I might need to use this idea to inspire a post of my own! Love it!
Coffee – if you use a keurig, check out Angelinos coffee. A huge variety of flavors and styles. At great prices. We’ve been ordering from them for a couple of months and have been pleased so far.
Those shoes – L.O.V.E!

Hey Beckey, thanks for the suggestion, I will check it out!
Yes, the hustle and bustle has begun! Nice blog. 🙂
Hi Myisha,
Thank you! Yes girl it is on! Love this time of year!
Decorating for fall? Yup, that did not make my list either!

Sparkles and Shoes
Hi Kelly,
I normally go all out but I just can’t…LOL But for Christmas decorating I will get my life right!
cute post! Well, I’m not decorating either (for fall or Christmas…I never do). I pretty much only have 2 gifts to buy, so I plan to wait until the last minute to do that. 🙂
My dad recently bought the Jamaican blue mountain coffee blend from costco and it was really good!
How is your sister doing?
Thanks Merrie. No decorating… wow. I love the lights and how festive the house looks. I will definitely checkout that coffee. Sis is better, thank God.
My husband and I recently picked up a Nespresso machine in their VirtuoLine and it makes really great coffee! Not sure if you already have one, but they often have promotions at Williams Sonoma if ever you’re interested.
Stay fab,

Oh Lisa, I have seen the commercials for the Nespresso, you fancy huh! Thanks for the Williams-Sonoma tip!
I am not drinking red wine. Can you believe it? I have noticed that enjoying one too many makes me gassy. I am taking a break for now. I am getting addicted to coffee again. I need to take a break. Lol! Have you tried Tully’s Coffee? The Hawaiian blend is good. It came with my Keurig 2.0 coffee maker, and I love it!
I agree with you on the snapchat issue.

Hi Nerline,
Oh no. Have you tried the “Olive Garden” wine – Roscato, so good. Not trying to tempt you! LOL Y’all are the bomb with all these great suggestions!
I still haven’t tried Periscope. I mainly stick with Instagram and Facebook. I’m not going to go crazy buying toys this Christmas. My house has way too many toys as it is. So my kids are getting three toys each from us. But they will get gifts from other family members too. So they will still end up with a lot.

Sonya, I feel you on Periscope, but I know I need to get with it! Sounds like a good Christmas for the kiddos!
I’m not doing Snapchat! I haven’t done Periscope, but may do it next year. I don’t decorate for Thanksgiving so I’ll be doing Christmas really soon.

Yeah there are just too many social tools! I’m on the fence with Periscope still. Yesss, looking forward to Christmas decorating!
I am trying to get the house ready to put on the market in the spring, so I am NOT bringing in anymore knick knacks and doing a lot of donating to Goodwill and other organizations.
